Roomy sites. Site 38, hookups we’re a bit awkward. Water & electric on passenger side. Desk staff were nice. Loaned us additional cables and 50 amp adapter. Great for kids (I have none).

Beautifully situated in a forested area, there are a lot of activities for kids. the facilities were nice.

The owner (Adam) went out of his way to make sure we were having a great time. I spoke with other campers that felt the same way. The campground secluded and quiet but there's plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained.

The owners are very conscientious about the grounds looking nice, and it is a lovely place. Really nice folks. It’s very near the historic sites in Springfield, and the Route 66.

The welcome was nice, the service was nice, everyone was friendly and the campground was well kept. And we were lucky enough to be there at the same time that the Oscar Mayer weiner mobile was there. Great stay.

Nice campground. Friendly staff. Only negative is the drive in from the interstate. I made it with a 44ft + Jeep but BARELY. Was not fun. The campground was nice though once you get in.

The bathrooms are exceptional. We especially appreciated how quiet it was. Sites are nicely spaced and level.

We only stayed overnight, but if you are looking for someplace quiet this is your spot! There is NO highway noise at all. Crickets yes, a few frog’s occasionally but no traffic. The restrooms were clean and neat, all utilities were in good repair, water pressure was good, cable was good. They have a small clean doggie park with toy exchange and romping room for smaller dogs.

This KOA is a hidden treasure! The drive from I-55 to the KOA campground is beautiful and crossing a one lane bridge over a small river which leads you into the campground. It is very clean with nice sites and hookups. The camp personnel were very friendly and helpful. They treat you like valued customers! We definitely would stay here again. Only 9 miles to Springfield to historic sites

As always, a nice mid-week getaway. Pity more people don't stay for more than a night, there's alot to do in Springfield...but, I get it, they're on their way somewhere...but getting there, seeing the local sites is part of the fun of the journey!

Clean, easy to access spacious sites. Toughest mini golf course of all the KOA’s in the Midwest! Quaint, off the path lil campground. Close enough but far enough away from the capital. Great water pressure on sites. Great customer service! Don’t miss this one… slow down and smell the roses here

The park was great as far as we used it. We came mostly to sightsee in Springfield. Therefore coming and going was important to us. The road in to the park was very poorly maintained. We are not sure how much control KOA has over maintenance of the road. The road flooded after heavy rains and was unusable for half of our stay. To the credit of the KOA staff they got detour signage up quickly.

Everything was good except for the clumps of grass clippings that were all over our site, especially near the door. Created a mess in our RV.

Pleasant place and nice to be away from the interstate; however, the facilities seem a little shabby, and the potential of road flooding and getting stuck for extra days at the campground is a little worrisome. Overall, our stay way very satisfactory.

I stayed in one of the rustic cabins. When I arrived, the electricity for the lamp and AC wasn’t working. It was pitch black when I arrived and it was after hours. So I had to stay the 1st night without AC. In the morning I found the circuit breaker on the outside and then it worked. This was my first experience at a KOA. Also, The cabin had leftover trash under the bed.

My wife had taken ill while we were staying there. The front desk and owner have been amazing trying to accommodate me while my wife has been in hospital. They have done everything possible to help me.

Many amenities which is nice. Love the fabric shower curtains, always better than plastic. However, the shower curtains need to be washed in a washing machine with bleach to get rid of the orangy colored mold which is starting to discolor the bottom of the shower curtain. Also the ceiling exhaust vent in the bathroom needs cleaned, it has lots of dust accumulation which is limiting air flow.

we had trouble with our trailer on the way to the KOA. We had to leave it with Camping World for repairs. The Springfield KOA allowed us to change our reservation to a cabin.

Very nice hosts. Campground was clean and easy in and out with our big rig (36’ pusher). Lots of wildlife. Plenty of grassy areas.

Clean and quiet. Well set up. Playgrounds and putt putt etc for the kids. Walmart 15 minutes away. Convenience store on property.

Charming campground, Quiet day and night, for a Journey it is away from the interstate / highway noise. We stayed in our fifth wheel however there are several nice cabins and a Family sized Lodge to stay in as well as secluded tent sites in various locations. Bathrooms and Showers were always clean and stocked. The store has a wide variety of items for your camping needs. New improvements are being made all around the campground and several were in process while we were there however the staff ensured the work did not interfere with any guests or activities. There are several new Electric and Water Paved back in sites while the original sites are in a shaded section and it appears all the trees were trimmed properly to prevent from low hanging branches. We met the owners and they are super nice and treat you well as do the rest of the staff we met. One of the workers (Herman) cruised the park and was always friendly. We would stay there again.
