Exciting things are happening over at South Padre Island KOA Holiday. Construction is well under way for the removal of the two water towers on property to make room for a brand-new main building - which will house a guest laundry, bathrooms, showers, a small gathering room with a serving kitchen, and offices.
We will be sharing status and construction updates throughout the process, so stay tuned! Here's a sneak peek of what is going on...
January 2024
- All 3 of the waterfront Deluxe Cabins discussed below were removed to start clearing the way for the construction of the main building. (Check out these great sunsets!)
- We are hoping for construction to begin on these projects in April but will keep you updated on this blog!
- The demolition of the parking lot area is complete and ready to make room for brand new waterfront RV sites!
October 2023
- One of the waterfront Deluxe Cabins was removed to start clearing the way for the construction of the new main building, and 2 more should be out by the end of the second week of October.
- We are excited to announce that our BRAND NEW WI-FI will be available starting October 12! This new and fast Wi-Fi will be able to handle streaming services and help you work remote!
- Demolition of the parking lot area is progressing to make room for brand new waterfront RV sites!
September 2023
- A few of the waterfront Deluxe Cabins will be removed in mid to late September to make room for the new main building.
- Construction of the new building is set to begin in mid to late Q4 (October-December).
August 2023
- The two water towers were gutted and torn down to make room for a new and improved main building.
- We have begun demo of the parking lot in the back of the campground, to make room for brand new waterfront sites!
- Our new new and improved Wi-Fi installation has begun, and will hopefully be finished by the last week of September. This new system will support faster browsing and streaming!
