Meet Your Hosts

Open May 1 - October 15

You're only 5 minutes from the city's namesake Waterfalls.

The Sioux Falls KOA lies just inside the city limits of South Dakota's largest city, but you wouldn't know it from the lush grass campsites. Along with reconstruction that made it more large rig friendly, this campground offers a heated swimming pool, mini golf, fun cycle bike rentals, gameroom, K-9 Park, horseshoes, and a children's play area to keep you entertained. You're only 10 minutes from the city's namesake waterfalls. At Falls Park, an elevator zips you up the observation tower for sweeping views of the Big Sioux River, the falls and the city. Browse the nearby historic downtown shopping district for specialty items, including Native American art. At the Great Plains Zoo & Delbridge Museum of Natural History, kids giggle at critters from A (Alaskan brown bear) to Z (zebu, a type of Asian cattle). If you're headed west on I-90, you're just 30 minutes to the Porter Sculpture Park with its unique art pieces.

Meet Your Hosts

Close
We are Bob & Lynn Van Atta, your Sioux Falls KOA General Managers. We were born and raised in south Louisiana where we have lived most of our lives. After "retiring" in 2007, (Bob as a boarding kennel owner and Lynn as a school teacher), we began our second career - WorkKamping. We were thrilled with the diversity of KOA locations and have worked  at Circus Circus KOA in Las Vegas, Santa Cruz and Trinity Center in California, Baton Rouge, LA, Albuquerque, NM, and Houston and Dallas in Texas. Each KOA was unique and all were beautiful.
Even our hobbies involve working with people. We have been dance instructors at many resorts throughout the United States since 1983 and we plan to bring that same fun-filled atmosphere to the Sioux Falls KOA.  As avid campers ourselves, we know what families want and we will do whatever it takes to ensure that our campground guests have a happy and memorable vacation. The entire staff of Sioux Falls KOA is committed to serving YOU and this outstanding group will make your fun their #1 priority.
Bob and Lynn believe in the KOA theme of Great People, Great Camping. Our customers are here to relax and the Staff of Sioux Falls KOA want to make that stay a Great Experience.
