Pitch your tent or park your RV along the shady banks of Goose Creek. The High Plains unfurl to the east, while the Bighorn Mountains loom to the west. Hike, ride horseback or make the hour's drive to the Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument. You'll find other relics of the Indian wars near Sheridan, including the Fort Phil Kearny State Historic Site and the Fetterman Battlefield. Shop Sheridan's galleries for antiques and artisans' leather goods. Turn the kids loose in KOA's big playground and get your fill of fishing, biking (rentals available) and swimming. This KOA is big rig friendly.

Historic Downtown Sheridan, listed on the National Historic register. Park and shop for your Wyoming outfit. Tour downtown museums and stuff yourself at our friendly tasty restaurants.
Fishing & Hunting
Bow season opens September 1st for deer, antelope and elk with all other season starting October 1st. Bring back your harvest and clean it at your campsite. October weather in Wyoming is amazing.
Golf
Kendrick Golf Course is located at the base of the Big Horn Mountains just outside Sheridan, Wyoming. An 18-Hole course (Par 72), open to the public, open every day of the week (April 1 through October 15). Amenities include a driving range, rental riding carts, rental clubs, fully-stocked Pro Shop, reasonable green fees, lessons available from a PGA professional, full-facility dining room, snack bar and cocktails. Powderhorn Golf Course located 5 miles south of Sheridan off I90 exit 25. Sheridan Municipal Golf course located west of town 1/2 mile past Sheridan Hospital.
Off-Road Adventures
The Bighorn Mountains offer hundreds of miles of trails to accommodate all types of ATVs and riders. Park your trailer at the Bighorn snowmobile trailer parking lots and start your ride up Red Grade road. From there you can access multiple trails and go deep into the Bighorn National Forest for fishing, camping and wildlife viewing.

Fort Phil Kearney
Fort Phil Kearney is located between Sheridan and Buffalo, Wyoming. Take Exit 44 off of I-90. Tours are available.
Little Big Horn Battlefield
This area memorializes one of the last armed efforts of the Northern Plains Indians to preserve their way of life. Here in 1876, 263 soldiers and attached personnel of the U.S. Army, including Lt. Col. George A. Custer, met death at the hands of several thousand Lakota and Cheyenne warriors.
Sheridan Inn
The Sheridan Inn is a national historic landmark. It is home of the famous "Buffalo Bill Cody Saloon." Open daily and guided tours and historical lectures are available at a nominal fee.
Bradford Brinton Memorial Ranch
The Bradford Brinton Memorial Ranch is open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m to the public May 15 through September 7. Enjoy the view of a 20 room fully furnished ranch house. This attraction is located 12 miles south of Sheridan, Wyoming.
Trails End Museum
Recently accepted into "America’s Book of Castles." Summer hours are June through August 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily. Open Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day. Winter hours are September through May. Guided group tours are available by appointment only.
