Meet Your Hosts

The Robertson Family

"Come and stay a few days! We have lots to see in our area!"

"Come and stay a few days! We have lots to see in our area!," says Grant Robertson, owner of the Raton, New Mexico KOA. A custom cabinet builder, Grant purchased his KOA in March of 2003 and saw it as not only a business with great potential, but an investment for a lifetime. Although this is his first KOA purchase, he is not new to the camping business. He played a large part in the success of a KOA campground in Utah with his father-in-law. After turning the Utah KOA over to new owners, Grant worked with the new-comers for an entire year, ensuring both success and longevity for the campground.

With customer service taking top priority, Grant said, "I want customers to feel like they are home." Not only is this campground the Robertson's home, but Grant takes pride in his business and says it is a "reflection of me. I'm making it what I want it to be."

Raton is an experience filled with history and small-town charm. Campers are able to see more in one day than usual, which makes for an interesting trip, both for short stays and long.
