Whether you and your family want to relax and kick back or try and pack as much fun into your vacation - Port Huron KOA Camping Resort has what you need.

Located on 70 fun filled acres is Port Huron KOA Camping Resort. The campground is a pleasant one-hour drive from Detroit or Flint. We are within minutes of historic Port Huron - boyhood home of the inventor, Thomas Edison, the starting place for the Mackinac Sailboat Race, site of an annual antique car parade, the "Twin Bridges" and not to forget historic lighthouses and boat watching on one of the heaviest traveled rivers in the world.

Our commitment to excellence has consistently earned us 5 stars from Woodall's for our facilities and recreation and we are among their top 1.4% campgrounds in North America. As we continue to meet the needs of our campers, we now feature many different styles and sizes of both cabins and lodges. We offer single and double kabins, kottages, and we have several different styles of lodges for all to enjoy.

Whether you and your family want to relax and kick back or try and pack as much fun into your vacation - Port Huron KOA Camping Resort has what you need. Just a few include hand dipped ice cream, unique bike rental, catered breakfast, go-carts, batting cages and the list goes on!

Port Huron is a water wonderland! Located on St. Clair River and Lake Huron, you are sure to enjoy all it has to offer. From fishing for perch, walleye and salmon to "Art in the Park" free weekly concerts on the Black River during the summer, there is sure to be something for everyone to enjoy.

We look forward to helping you make your vacation an experience you will never forget. With planned activities for adults and children and much more, Port Huron KOA invites you and your family to our resort.

Meet Your Hosts

Close

Every day on the Port Huron KOA Kampground is like coming home again for Howard and Shirley Stein.

Howard is a lifelong resident of Port Huron. The site of his old elementary school is just down the road from the campground.

The Steins purchased the KOA in 1990 after long careers as a defense contractor, law enforcement officer and developer (Howard), and medical technologist and corporate officer (Shirley).

They both speak with pride of all of the great recreational offerings on the campground (click on the amenities button on this page for details).

When not on the campground, look for Shirley to be reading books or tending to her horses. Howard will likely be hunting, traveling, reading or developing his next big project.

When asked for any additional interesting tidbits about the Stein family, Howard laughs and says "I don't think we have any known hangings."
