National Cowboy Hall of Fame
The Hall was opened June 26, 1965 and represents the seventeen western states. Museum operating hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Labor Day to Memorial Day and 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Memorial Day to Labor Day. Museum is closed Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Day. Admission fee charged.
Myriad Botanical Gardens
Enter a rainforest where it never rains; visit a desert where droughts always end just in time. Enjoy a world of waterfalls, palm trees, butterflies and orchids. There's a tropical forest inside a crystal bridge, and 17 acres of landscaped parkland. Right in downtown Oklahoma City! Open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day except Christmas. 45th Infantry Museum
Hours of operation are Tuesday through Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Free admission. Come share the proud heritage of the Thunderbirds and Oklahomas citizen soldiers! For more information, visit the 45th Infantry Museum online.
Racing begins the end of March and runs through the end of May (Thursday through Saturday).
Attractions include Omniplex Science Museum, Kirkpatrick Planetarium, Oklahoma Air Space Museum, Kirkpatrick Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, Kirkpatrick Galleries, International Photography Hall of Fame, Red Earth Indian Center (seven museums under one roof). Children can be a judge, an artist, a fireman, or anything they want to be when you visit Mabees KidTown, U.S.A. Every child counts, no matter what age. Open hours are Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The Museum is closed Mondays, major holidays and the first two weeks in January. Round Barn of Arcadia
The first floor of the round Barn has a gift shop where mementos of the Round Barn and Route 66 are sold. Pictorial displays of the early days in Arcadia, and steps of the reconstruction of the Round Barn are located here. The second floor is a reception hall that offers a rustic setting of real beauty for weddings, birthdays, business meetings, church and school gatherings.
