Things To Do On The US Side of Niagara Falls

Maid of the Mist

The infamous Maid of the Mist had its maiden voyage in 1864. Become part of its history as you head straight to the base of the powerful falls on their new all-electric boats. Boats head out every 15 minutes so you’ll have no problem catching a boat ride. Enjoy the quick 20-minute cruise to the base of the falls and get ready for the perfect photo op.

Goat Island

Located within the Niagara Falls State Park visitors can enjoy views of the falls from Terrapin point, take a 30-minute walk, and eat at the Over The Falls restaurant. While there are no longer any goats on the island you can learn about the history of the island and why it is named Goat Island. This state park is the perfect spot to take a step back, relax, and enjoy the scenery.

Niagara Landing Wine Cellars

Enjoy the vineyards of Niagara without leaving the US side of the falls. Enjoy a wine tasting, tour the vineyard, and watch planes land and take off at the airfield located right on the property. With three generations of experience, you’re bound to find new flavors to enjoy. Head to their website for weekend and group reservations.

Beaver Island State Park Golf Course

Located on Grand Island, not too far from KOA Niagara/Grand Island Holiday, this 18-hole championship course is a one-stop shop. Take a break from your vacation and enjoy a day of leisure with scenic views, wildlife watching, and meals at the clubhouse restaurant.
