As the managers of the Nashville, TN KOA Kampground, Fred & Jenn say that they are proud that "people who stay with us each have a unique camping adventure that will last a lifetime." Fred, Jenn and their most hospitable staff are always eager to accommodate their guests and they often go above and beyond the call of duty."My family and I have always enjoyed the outdoor camping experience. Nashville, TN 37203Explore Nashville’s Civil War History at Fort Negley.Come into the Visitors Center and learn how the Union Army captured Nashville in 1862 as you watch the film The Fall of Nashville. The river, turnpikes, and railroads had spurred the growth of the city from its beginnings. The Union Army occupied the city to control these transportation routes. Almost overnight, Nashville was transformed into the Union Army’s major supply depot for the Western Theater of the war.
Learn the story of the 2,768 people who built Negley. It was the largest of a group of forts built by the Union, and the largest inland masonry fort built during the Civil War. It was 600 feet long, 300 feet wide, and covered four acres of land. The workers lived in a contraband camp on the northeast side of the worksite, and were both free blacks and slaves who had been conscripted by the Union to serve as laborers. Between 600 and 800 died during the construction, and only 310 ever received pa

March is a great time of ,year to visit Nashville's outdoor attractions,like-
Fort Nashborough - Named for Revolutionary War hero Francis Nash, this reproduction of the original settlement stands on a bluff overlooking the Cumberland River.
Two Rivers Mansion,- The last of the elaborate antebellum plantation homes to be built in Middle Tennessee, this mansion was erected on the eve of the Civil War in the fertile valley between the Stones and Cumberland Rivers.
Nashville City Cemetery- Located at 1001 Fourth Avenue south, this is the oldest remaining public cemetery in Nashville, and is one of few Tennessee cemeteries listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
Fort Negley - A unique "star" designed Union fort from the Civil War. Fort Negley was the largest and most important of the fortifications built by Union forces after Nashville fell in 1862.
The Parthenon- This full-sized replica of the original Greek Parthenon was built to replace a temporary Parthenon which had been built for the 1897 Centennial Exposition.

Nashville Zoo is hosting an egg hunt on Saturday the 7th:
Things are "Hoppening" at Nashville Zoo! Collect the kids and bounce over to the Zoo for our 14th annual Eggstravaganzoo! There will be egg hunts for the kids and animals along with games and general merriment all day long! Special guests at the big day will include the Zoo's giraffe mascot Twiga and a white-haired, long-eared fellow lovingly known as the Easter Bunny!
Egg hunts will take place on the Zoo's Festival Field, located behind the gift shop. Everyone is encouraged to arrive at least an hour before the egg hunt times.

Care Camps Trust members, who administer the program, are also all volunteers.
