Camping in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho

Come experience the fun at the Lava Hot Springs KOA. We offer various newly renovated R.V. sites, tent sites, and cabin lodging, most of which are located along the river. Our KOA provides new shower facilities, laundromat, a pavilion with an outdoor kitchen, playground, horseshoe pits, volleyball, tether-ball, gift shop/convenience store, fire pits, fire wood, fishing and wi-fi. Enjoy discounted tube rentals if your planning to tube the river.

Lava Hot Springs is only a short walk away from the KOA campground, where you'll find the beautiful natural hot springs, shopping, restaurants, and the famous Olympic-size swimming pool and water park. It's a great location for family and friends to "getaway" and reunite! A soak in the natural hot springs are wonderful to relieve the aches and pains of a long day traveling. Prices and hours can be found on their website:

Plan to float the natural Portneuf River, as this adventure is very popular. Water activities are not the only fun to be had while visiting Lava Hot Springs; save enough energy to ride the Zip-Line. Prior-arrangements can accommodate picking up your group at the KOA Campground.

KOA Care Camps

This badge has been earned by this KOA Campground for compassion and support of KOA Care Camps. It is given out following our Big Weekend, and is in effect for one year.

Someday, cancer will be nothing more than a memory. Until that day, KOA Care Camps are here to bring hope, joy, healing and fun to kids with cancer. Working together, KOA owners, the KOA home office and great KOA campers like you raise funds for a single cause: to send kids with cancer to medically supervised camps where they have a great time with other kids who understand what they're going through. They do it all while receiving the treatments they need, absolutely free of charge! Until cancer is a memory, KOA Care Camps will continue to help these sweet kids make terrific memories of their own.
