Take Exit 47 off I-15, travel 12 miles east on Hwy 30. Exit Hwy 30 under the Lava Hot Springs speed slides. Turn right at the KOA sign just after the bridge before you get to main street.

Lava Hot Springs is mainly known for the "World Famous Hot Springs" with sulfur free natural hot springs, open every day of the year except Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. Visitors from all over the world make Lava Hot Springs a vacation destination year round to enjoy the hot springs, leaving feeling relaxed and refreshed. Lava Hot Springs has many activities both seasonal and year round. Enjoy swimming at the Olympic Swimming Complex during the summer, Indoor Aquatic Center with Portneuf Kiddie Cove year round, Ziplining, Baker Ranch Wagon Rides, Snowmobiling, Cross Country Skiing, Hiking, Tubing the Portneuf River, Shopping, Restaurants, Golf, Night Life, Bingo and much more. Annual events include the "Fire & Ice" Winter Festival the first full weekend of every February, Wellness Festival, 4th of July Fireworks, Founders Day Parade and Oktoberfest.
Lava Hot Springs has several parks throughout the town some first come first serve for use. Buddy Campbell City Park is on the west end of town which includes playground, tennis courts, basketball courts, baseball diamond, volleyball poles, pavilions and restrooms, to reserve this park contact City Hall at 208-776-5820. The two courses– nine holes located across from the Olympic Swimming Complex and the other nine in Lions Park on the river–are always available for some disc-winging fun. Pebble Creek Ski Area (just north of Lava near Inkom) boasts a 2,200-foot vertical drop, 54 runs, large gladed areas, and three chairlifts. Fun, friendly and affordable!

Idaho Parks & Recreation has online Bike and ATV Trail Maps for our area. There are many unmapped trails in the area. To ride on paved roads in Lava Hot Springs and surrounding area, all ATV's and dirt bikes must have insurance, registration, and license with off road sticker on the vehicle. They must also have a rear view mirror, horn, tail light, headlight, brake light, turn signals and riders under 18 years old must wear a helmet. You cannot ride on any STATE or FEDERAL maintained roadway. County roads o.k. unless restricted by individual county, city, etc.
