We have a Jumping Pillow that keeps the kids of all ages moving. Try our 300-foot waterslide, large heated pool, fun-bikes, mini golf and two playgrounds. Movies, ice cream socials and wagon rides. On Saturday night our DJ will keep you entertained.
Don't miss our special events! These include visits from clowns and other entertainers, Watermelon Olympics, nighttime treasure hunts and bubble gum-blowing contests. One of the best ways to see Wisconsin's Northwoods is by canoeing or tubing along the pristine Namekagon River, part of the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway. We'll even drive you to your starting point! Our KOA is close to golf courses, hiking, ATV and mountain-biking trails and lakes with great fishing.
Bring your RV, tent, or stay in one of our cabins or Lodges for some real quality camping time. Don't miss out on our spectacular Wisconsin fall foliage!
Meet Your Hosts
When Steve and Chris Hennings teamed up with longtime friends Arnie and Linda Jensen, Hayward KOA was on the top of their priority list. Since purchasing the campground in June of 2006, the owners have enjoyed their strengthening friendship and changing lifestyles at KOA.
The Hennings and Jensen's were neighboring farmers in Nebraska before they moved to Wisconsin. "We raised our crops and we raised our kids," says Linda. "As friends who had worked together in the past, we decided to try it again, this time at Hayward KOA."
The Hennings had owned a campground in Colorado before purchasing the Hayward KOA. They enjoyed owning the Colorado campground and decided that they were ready to go for it again, this time alongside their friends. "We were ready for a change. We chose to change our lives and join them on the venture," says Arnie.
With a strong customer philosophy of keeping the customers relaxed and having fun while providing them with many amenities, the Hennings' and Jensen's are sure to build a solid reputation. They keep it very simple: "Let our staff do the work."
When not found around the campground, the owners enjoy fishing, hunting, crafts, cooking, travel and spending time with family.
While there is plenty of things to do at Hayward KOA, the owners never forget the thing they like best about their campground. "We love the family atmosphere. We have third generation campers here making memories."

A 2011 KOA Presidents Award and Founders Award Winner!
We are proud to announce another top rating from KOA Inspectors in 2011. We also have been highly rated by Woodall's and Trailer Life. In addition, we value our membership in good standing with the Wisconsin Association of Campground Owners. The KOA Founder's Award is an important award earned by campgrounds that score in the top of all campgrounds in the KOA system. The reason this award is important to us is because it is judged on comments and customer surveys from our camping guests. Our main goal is to ensure that all our guests enjoy the best camping experience that we can provide. Thank you all for your positive feedback and we pledge to commit ourselves to our guests in 2012.
