May 02, 2014- KOA Opening day and Fishing season opens
There is nothing like the first weekend of camping. Bring the kids and enjoy the cool quiet northern Wisconsin woods and fresh air, or warm around a cozy campfire and feast on Smores.
May 9, 2014 Mother's Day Weekend
There is no better gift to Moms then a quiet camping weekend amongst our whispering pines. Well maybe it would be to stop in the store for a special gift for her from the KOA!!
May 16, 2014 Once Upon A Time Weekend
Join us for our Once Upon a Time Weekend, featuring knights, princesses, and maybe even a dragon! Dress up as your favorite character from a timeless storybook tale.
May 23-25, 2014 - Memorial Day Weekend
(3-Night Minimum Stay)Our first big summer weekend, the water slide will be waiting for you to be one of the first to experience the rush, float down the Namekagon River while looking for the wildlife, swim in the heated pool, and join in our crafts and activities.
May 30, 2014- Mother Nature Weekend
Bring your favorite teddy bear for our Mother Nature Weekend. Besides our specialized crafts, we will have a presentation on co-existing with black bears in the Northern Woods.
June 6-8, 2014 Fiesta Weekend (Spoiler: Tie-Dye!)
It is time to Party! Join is for our colorful celebration of breaking the piñata and doing special craft projects along with our regular activities like breakfast at the Red Pine and the Wagon Ride! Want to get crazy with some colors? Come have a great time with tie-dye! OLE
June 13-15, 2014, Father's Day / Country Carnival Weekend
Not only will we be celebrating your wonderful fathers but we will also be having Carnival Weekend! Join us for carnival games, challenging your skills at washer toss, 3 legged race, sack races, and more!
June 20-22, 2014 Chocolate Weekend
Chocolate! Chocolate! And more Chocolate! We have Candy Bar Bingo, Chocolate Pancakes at our Red Pine, chocolate pudding eating contest, an assortment of chocolate ice creams available in our Ice Cream Shack, and our popular chocolate slip n' slide. If you need a break from all of our chocolate, you can head over to Hayward for the Musky Festival!
June 27-29, 2014 - Under the Sea Weekend
Along with our 300 ft. water slide, tubing down the river, and 9 ft pool, get wet n' wild with our wonderful water games to keep you cool during your hot summer vacation.
July 4-5, Independance Day and Watermelon Weekend
During the day, have fun in the sun by participating in our watermelon games! Show your skills of eating one of these delicious watermelon with our eating contest and other goofy games. At night, join the town of Hayward in celebrating our Independence Day with fireworks off the local lake. It will be a weekend to remember!
July 11-13, 2014 - Wild, Wild West Weekend
Giddy up with your RV to the Hayward KOA! Besides the Spooner Rodeo going on, we will be roping in our own fun! Have some laughter with our games and crafts.
July 18-20, 2014 Christmas in July Weekend
Ho, Ho, Ho ...it's Christmas in July! Pack a few decorations and come join us for family fun including Site Decoration Contest with a great 1st Place Prize. Don't forget to greet Mr. & Mrs Santa Claus as he makes a special visit to our park. Kids better watch out and better be nice as he may even come for a morning breakfast with you!
July 25-27,2014 Lumberjack World Championships
Welcome all lumberjack enthusiasts!! Book your camping reservations early as we do fill up quickly for this exciting competition! In the evening, enjoy a Friday night community campfire with smores and Saturday evening DJ Dance.
August 1-3, 2014 Pirate Weekend
Ahoy there Mateys We will make your dreams of becoming a pirate come true this weekend from transforming you into a pirate, to finding hidden treasure at the campgrounds. We will have different age groups for our treasure hunts so no one is left out of the fun!
August 8-10, 2014- Chocolate Weekend (Part II)
Our Almost Sinful Chocolate (along with other chocolate flavored ice cream) weekend has such highlights as a chocolate slip n slide, a chocolate pudding eating contest for all ages, chocolate-chocolate pancakes served at our Red Pine, and Candy Bar Bingo. Come for our Chocolate Sequel!
August 15-17, 2014 - Glow Weekend (Spoiler: Tie-Dye!)
The black-light show on Friday evening is enjoyed by campers of all ages. It is all glow at the Hayward KOA! We will even have a Mini-Golf Glow-in-the-Dark Tournament. For some wonderful crafts with your kids, join us for a great time doing tie-dye!
August 22-24, 2014 Hawaiian Weekend / Camper Appreciation
ALHOA! Dance on over to our Hawaiian fun as summer is slowing down. Along with our great activities for your kids, we will be having DJ to shake the night away! Besides our themed occasion, let us show our appreciation for you, our campers! We would like to give our thanks for choosing us as your KOA with a free hot dog, chips, and drink!
August 29, 2014 Halloween/Labor Day Weekend
Our swamp monster is inviting some friends over! Enjoy our spooky celebrations with games, treats, and a few tricks up our sleeve. If your a kid, or a kid at heart, bring your costumes and strut around the park to see who will win our Costume Contest! The maze and haunted house will be coming to stay for this ghostly weekend!
Sept 12-13, 2014 Chequamegon Fat Tire festival
One of the dont miss events in northern Wisconsin. The Chequamegon Fat Tire Race is on Saturday. It is a site that words cannot describe, 2500+ bikes start the race down the main street of Hayward. Our Staff provides a Spaghetti Feed for the Racers on Friday that will get them off to a strong and fast start!
September 19-21, 2014 Hayward Fall Festival
Fall is a great time for camping; we are the perfect location for your fall color road trip, or take in Haywards Fall Festival. Return in the evening to the serenity of a cozy campfire and the swaying of the big Red Pines.
October 3-5, 2014 Apple Festival and Cranberry Festival

Finish off the camping season with a stay at the KOA. You can take a day trip to either Bayfield Apple or Stone Lake Cranberry Festival or catch the last of the fall colors in the area. Your cozy campsite will be here waiting for you upon your return.
