Campground Reviews

The location is perfect for hiking and exploring Harpers Ferry. Unfortunately quiet hours are not enforced and the rv site directly behind our had a very loud, huge party of at least 50 people until 2:30am on Friday night.

Site assigned way to small for a pull through. Full off leaves, rocks, roots from trees. Came in after dark and we were tripping over everything. Had to pull into site across the road where there were campers to disconnect. Bathrooms, showers, laundry, dirty.

The stay was great. Information on the website about the impact of the road closure would be helpful

En general es un buen lugar para camping, pero le hace falta una remodelación y mantenimiento a los baños y al área de Arcade

I am a long time camper at harpersferry koa upon my last stay it’s clear that some sights need work on there grading was not satisfied with the site or the increase in prices

Plenty of things to do for the whole family. Amenities were nice!

A lot of the spots are not very level and you feel a little packed in. The bathrooms were not very clean, there was a lot of mold and grime. We did like the proximity to the tavern and ice cream place. The pancakes were wonderful and affordable. The on site coffee shop was so cute.

We had 3 sites side by side with friends. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Beautiful site.

The stay was great, the staff was great but the bathrooms did not get the attention needed. They were dirty and the showers were not clean.

Your quiet period starting 10pm is not enforced and rowdy campers know it. Partying, with loud cussing, on Friday went on well after midnight in the KOA, especially at Site 164. On Saturday morning others complained with me about the noise. Sites are small even for small trailers. Our neighbor had to move his truck so I could pull out when we were leaving. We won’t be back.

Love the campground. This time though the camp store was limited. They were out of stock of everything. Also they offered delivery of the firewood but we never got it.

The staff could not have been more helpful

Back in site 196 is NOT level. A bit of work needs to be done. Bathrooms could be a bit cleaner.

Everything was great except the buzz from the electric transformer on the hill.

This was our first stay. Chose site 174 which was a very unlevel site. Chris and Jimmy were so nice and very helpful. They moved us to 189 which is an amazing site. Beautiful location. Many sites are unlevel, roads in the campground are in need of repair, and site markers are confusing. The bathhouse could have been cleaner. The camp store was a bit bare.

The staff were very accommodating in assisting us during the breakdown of our tow vehicle insuring we didn't have to leave the park. We will never the kindness shown. The infrastructure, roads, placement of some sewer hookups, are less then desirable Im afraid. Many of the hookup locations pipes are too high in our case went UPHILL.Very difficult to have to unhook and drain pipe manually.

We stayed during Halloween weekend. Always a fun time.

I love your KOA and come the weekend before Halloween most years and it is off the wall awesome! Saturday night is the best with everyone dressed up and walking around. The great decorations on the RVs and sites. The dry ice smoke machines mix with the fire pit smoke creating a look into our dystopian future. The heavy smog, the orange and purple lights. I'm getting goosebumps!

I really enjoyed my stay in the camping cabin. I felt that all of the amenities around me were very very suitable and I would absolutely go again to this location.

We had a nice stay. The proximity to the Visitor's Center is convenient; the WiFi was strong and consistent; the staff we dealt with were most helpful and friendly, and we loved being situated in the trees at our site (181). My only criticism is that most of the sites where we stayed were not level. It took a lot of work to level our trailer, and we couldn't use our sewer hose.

This is my family's 2nd year camping for halloween at the Harpers Ferry location, we plan to make this a forever tradition. Already planning our stay next year. Everything is so family friendly and the staff is kind and attentive, lots of activities for kids of all ages. We just love it. Can't wait to come back.

My friends in family always have a great time at the Harper's Ferry KOA. The entire staff there do everything to make your stay as pleasant as possible. It's a very friendly staff that really goes above and beyond. I love going camping there, I have been going for over 13 years now.

We loved the campground, however, I felt like drive through sites were not very long. vehicles had to park next to their trailers. Cable was not working well, but we were told the cable company had to order a part. We love camping and now that I have the layout of the park, I will know where to reserve at. Everyone was really nice

I think the dedicated tent site I had was poor. Very small, lots of roots, pitched on an incline, and the surface was hard packed gravel. I couldn’t drive a tent stake into the ground. If the wind had come up I’m not sure what I’d do. Staying there again would be a last resort.

Great staff! Lovely campground especially in the Fall colors!

This KOA Campground in the mountain's is awesome. We went when the trees were turning colors. The camp sites are specious and everywhere you look it is just beautiful. The bathhouses are spic and span. And the ladies in the office are very welcoming. We had a relaxing time, and we will return again.

We stayed Sunday through Thursday so not all of the activities where available, incl. the Grapes & Grinds Coffee Shop and the theater. What was open was enjoyable and the campground boarders Harper's Ferry NP. There are walking trails to go from the campground to the National Park. There were too many low hanging branches that scraped our 29' RV. The restrooms could have been cleaner.

Shorthanded, couldn’t redeem my rewards, but beautiful scenery, clean shaded sites, close to history

Great site with awesome amenities. Staff was super nice and helpful. Very well kept cabins. Only constructive feedback would be to make it easier to speak to an on-site staff member prior to your arrival.

This KOA is ideally located very close to the Harpers Ferry National Historic Site. It has a ton of stuff to do like a game room, indoor basketball, pizza, and wine tasting. There is a large, very well-stocked camp store. We were there in early May, so the season was just getting started. The staff in the store were very helpful. But the maintenance staff, less so. I tow a travel trailer and waited about 10 minutes for an escort to my site before I worked it out myself. Also waited about 10-15 minutes for someone to fill my propane tanks. Still it is a great KOA, and I would stay again.

Our go to campground in Harpers Ferry when we decide to bring our travel trailer. Pancakes and breakfasts are great. Plenty of things to do for our kids. On site wines. Friendly and very helpful staff. Sites are clean. Most of the sites are decent, some are small depending on the size of your camper. Camp store is convenient and decently stocked. If they don't have it, Charles Town is right down the road and you can get it there at Walmart or several grocery stores/ pharmacies. Takes about 10-15 minutes to just walk to the Harpers Ferry visitor center/shuttles instead of driving.
