Every weekend in October is Halloween at the Harpers Ferry KOA. Costume contest, trick-or-treating, and of course our scary Haunted House will keep you busy. Also, pumpkin painting, Halloween tie dye, and a glow-stick ride.
Meet Your Hosts
"We specialize in pools, parties, pooches and playgrounds. Come join the fun!"Jessica Getman has worked for Recreational Adventures Campgrounds (RAC) for nearly 14 years. After graduating the University of South Dakota with a Bachelor's in Business Management, Jessica signed on full-time and moved out east to continue her management training. She has worked at Capitol KOA in Maryland, Prince William Forrest RV Campground in Virginia, New York City/Newburgh KOA in New York, and now as the General Manager of the Harpers Ferry/Civil War Battlefields KOA in West Virginia.
Spending most of her youth in the Black Hills of South Dakota, Jessica loves the trees and mountains in West Virginia. " I also love the warmer weather out here too, " Jessica explains. She has three large rescue dogs. Bernie is a Bernese Mountain Dog/Great Pyrenees, Daisy is a St. Bernard, and Brody is a Great Pyrenees. "We purchased an annual Harpers Ferry National Park Pass and they love to walk all of the trails," she says.
Jessica moved to Harpers Ferry in November of 2011. She loves the campgrounds she has been to because of all the wonderful people she meets, " Everyone is so friendly and wants to have a good time. I can't wait to meet everyone here in West Virginia!"
