This Western Colorado KOA campground is centrally located between the high desert and hiking trails of the Colorado National Monument and the tree-shaded lakes of the Grand Mesa, featuring fishing, ATV and hiking trails, and moose, elk and deer hunting. Nearby, mountain bike trails in all directions offer terrain very similar to Moab without the crowds. The Colorado River offers rafting from "mild", 2-hour trips to "WILD" full-day trips; you can even catch a horseback ride! Bring your rod and reel, because great trout fishing is just a short drive away from the campground.
Camping at our KOA campground has something for everyone- and every kind of rig! All pull through sites are large, 30 or 50 amp sites with fire pits & tables for your camping enjoyment.
No RV? No problem! Our traditional cabins are cozy one-room cabins that have a full bed and a set of bunk beds, the larger two-room cabin has a full bed in one room and two sets of bunk beds in the other. All cabins have mini fridges, fire pits/Barbeque combo's and tables. Want and upgrade from the traditional cabin we have new studio lodges with kitchenette's and bathrooms We even have a limited number of tent sites- all including electric and water, and just steps away from bathrooms and showers.
Kids will love the game room with pool, air hockey, and ping pong. For some outside fun, how about a round of mini golf or spend some time in the playground area. From Memorial day to Labor day cool off in the pool or take in a movie with the kids starts about dusk. There's even a "bark park" for pets.
Come spend some time at our family-friendly campground. You'll be glad you did!

JUCO Junior College World Series
Got Baseball? We do May 26 thru June 2 Grand Junction is proud to serve as the host site for this annual baseball tradition. For over 50 years, JUCO has drawn amazing young baseball players full of talent, commitment and enthusiasm. Players, coaches and fans are swept up in thrilling moments of America’s favorite pastime. Come meet the next famous big league player, Bryce Harper was here a couple of years ago.
Fruita Fat Tire Festival
April 26 to April 29 come join us at the Fruita Fat Tire Festival. Mountain and desert rides, a bike expo in downtown Fruita at the Civic Center Park, the ever popular beer garden and more! Plus, road rides through Colorado National Monument, over Douglas Pass, and through wine country. See Ya There
Shrine Circus
Bring out the kids to see all the animals and watch the show, truly a must-see event for the summer! And you can never have too much cotton candy! May 25 & 26, with shows at 10 am & 8 pm.
Horse Shows
Almost every weekend there are horse shows. The type will vary from weekend to weekend
Mesa County Fair July 17-21
The Mesa County Fair is an annual celebration of the county. Since were next door neighbors, their is a gate that allows you to enter the fair so their is no need to drive. Their are many events like a Firefall/Willam Brothers concert, PBR bull riding, Destruction Derby, Animal Showings and many many more.

Colorado National Monument
Established in 1911, these desolate canyons southwest of Grand Junction provide spectacular sights and many miles of hiking trails. Enjoy unusual rock formations and great photo opportunities. Take a hike on one of the many trails at Colorado National Monument .
Grand Mesa Scenic Bypass
Grand Mesa is known as the world's largest flat top mountain. The 63 mile scenic bypass overlooks endless forests and 300 lakes. Enjoy the great trout fishing and high country hiking.
The Dinosaur Diamond
Discover the meat eaters of the past on a dinosaur journey where you need to beware of life-like robotic dinosaurs, examine real dinosaur fossils, experience a simulated earthquake or see a working fossil preparation lab. If you want to get your hands dirty, book a hands-on managed dig, (only on planned dates and extra costs apply).

There are various rafting and horseback trips ranging from 2 hours to a full day. We can help book your reservation from the park.
Colorado River
Along the Colorado River there are two state parks within minutes of the campground for picnics and various water sports.
Farmers Market
Every Thursday starting June 8th, enjoy fresh fruit and veggies on Main Street with various vendors and live music most nights.
Horse Shows
Starting in April, there are horse shows almost weekly within walking distance from the park.
Wine Country
Take a trip around to the many award winning wineries with a great variety of of great tasting wines. Depending on the day or month many activities are offered such as jazz music festival, wine tasting & a great day with family or friends.
Palisade Peach Festival
Experience the best tasting peaches in the world on August 18 and 19 at the Peach Festival . There will be music, kid's events and a parade, (see hot deals for specials on this weekend).
Colorado Mountain Winefest
Discover why thousands of wine lovers make the annual pilgrimage to Palisade for the Colorado Mountain Winefest .
