The Gatlinburg East/Smoky Mountain KOA Holiday has expanded with 34 new RV sites, six Deluxe Cabins, and four premium tent sites. These new campsites are already hosting campers from near & far. The park is hosting a grand opening ceremony on Saturday, September 16 to commemorate this growth and welcomes the public to stop by and check out the new campsites!
“The design team worked hard to ensure that the expansion will allow our guests to appreciate the amazing natural topography of our park,” says Jenni Edwards, general manager of the Gatlinburg East/Smoky Mountain KOA Holiday. “We’re excited to welcome more campers than ever before.”
The new additions double the campgrounds' size, located on 16 acres just outside Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Some new RV sites include a KOA Patio, premium furniture, and an upgraded fire experience. The premium tent sites, which can sleep up to 6, feature fire pits, picnic tables, access to water and electricity, and a bear box.
Gatlinburg East/Smoky Mountain KOA Holiday’s Deluxe Cabins allow up to 8 campers to sleep among the trees with a full kitchen and bathroom, cable, and premium linens. The new cabins feature wrap-around outdoor decks, allowing campers to get a bird’s eye view of the campground's beautiful landscape.
