Our site was on such a steep slope, we had to keep our chairs right next to the RV to keep from sitting on really steep ground. We had to take our car off the dolly at the office because the turns were too tight for RV, dolly and car. The views were spectacular!

Thanks for the review, Denny. We are built on the side of a mountain and our terraced RV sites facilitate the spectacular views for all. I am perplexed though; many sites are sloped but yours (site 160) has a ~10x20' LEVEL gravel pad around your fire pit. I'm curious why you chose not to use it?

Nice campground, clean, we did not visit the restrooms or laundry rooms so I can’t comment on them. But the spaces were roomy, and easy to get in and out.

The best camp my wife and I and the grandkids have ever stayed at. Everyone was polite and professional . Amenities and views are second to none we will be back.

Great little campground. Not very many extra amenities, although the pizza was a nice touch. The sites don't seem to have sewer hookups, which wasn't a big deal for us. The cabins and public kitchen cooking area was a great idea. Great service and friendly staff.

Good views. Very rigid rules and locked bath houses were awkward. Since they are so far away from civilization, more food and drink options would be nice.

Sorry you weren't able to check in early, Ruth, however we do message that constraint to you in multiple documents and with a direct phone call before your arrival. You showed up 3 hrs early anyway, so you were disappointed. We do follow our documented policies for the benefit of all our guests.

I love this campground and the people are very nice. The one issue I had was under no circumstances are you allowed to arrive early. We noticed that there were a lot of spots empty during our visit. A whole row as a matter of fact. We were an hour early and had to drive down to the Heritage Center to park. We wanted to just park and not hook up to services. Just so we could go get lunch in CC.

Thanks, Mark! There are implications other than site availability that have necessitated our no early arrival policy. We message that very broadly, yet folks still show up 1, 2, even 3 hours early. Check in time is no earlier than 2. There is plenty of large-space parking in Cripple Creek.

The camp WiFi was slow but dependable...much better than some campgrounds we've been to. Our AT&T hotspot did not work well here. We ended up using the camp WiFi instead. The store and laundry were top-notch and clean. (We never used the bathrooms or showers). The employees were very friendly. This was a nice quiet RV park. The sites were close but adequate. Would stay here again.

The only thing I didn't like was how steep my site was. I could not get to my picnic table without going down an incline. I was parked to the left like I was told but then I had very little room ro get to the sewer hook up in my rig. I would definitely come back but would not want site 161 again. The scenery is great. Liked having pizza delivery.

Loved this KOA! The staff was so friendly. Peggy went out of her way to be kind to our grandsons. Beautifully maintained. Every site seemed to have a great view. We will be back for a longer stay. Excellent!!

We had a great time. Everyone is so friendly and the campgrounds are very well maintained and everything is very clean. We took advantage of the pizza a couple of nights and the breakfast pizza on the weekend, it was delicious. Thanks for a great time. We will be back for sure!!!

Stay (as always at KOA's) was just great. Never an issue or anything to complain about. Although it was the first KOA I have stayed at were we had to pay for the pancakes. Not that it's that big of a deal for $4 pancakes, but it was a first for us. Other than that, the facility and staff were wonderful. I for sure would return for another stay.

Tight spots on an incline for big rigs but extremely clean, friendly owners, beautiful location!

Such a friendly welcome and great information for our stay. Multiple dog areas made it convenient for our dogs. Beautiful view from every site.

Pretty place but no pool. Unfriendly staff, the day I arrived while I was hooking up power and water staff member approached me and asked if I was still unloading my truck? Even though it was not blocking anything. The space wasn’t big enough for truck and trailer required parking away from campsite and hubcap was taken from my truck. My deluxe site was within a few feet of the dumpsters.

Our sites and amenities are exactly as we advertise. You blocked delivery for our propane and water, as well as main exit for 1/2 of our RV campers. Politely asking you to move is not unfriendly. You spent 2 days on winding, rutted mountain roads; I'm pretty sure one hub cab was not stolen.

Very pretty! Very High, be prepared for altitude sickness. So many humming birds. Super clean. Great dog areas. Great place to stay for pikes peak.

The location was easy to find, people on site were quiet and respected your quiet time. There were dogs and they all seemed well mannered. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Can't wait to go back.

The Cripple Creek KOA is a peaceful escape only 1 hour from Colorado Springs. When in the park, it is hard to believe you are only 6 minutes from history, gold mines, casinos, restaurants, and the Butte Theater. The KOA grounds are well tended and offer full hook-ups, pull-through spaces, upgrades spaces with grill and patio, cabins, tent spaces, and outdoor kitchens. Staff are very friendly!

Great Place to base all of your Gold Country adventures out of. So many places to for fishing, hikes, mountian biking, and historical exploration. We will definitely be back!

The highest KOA in the US and delivers both pizza and firewood (additional $ but well spent) to your campsite? Have I landed on Mars? Yes it's true. Beautiful mountains abound and close to any action at the gambling town of Cripple Creek. But really the old West is found in Victor with great coffee and bakery. Every site has a view... Bar none!

Excellent place to stay with a great view. Sites were in great condition. Staff was exceptional and were very accommodating when we had vehicle related issues making us stay a little past our checkout time. Would highly recommend staying here, and plan to again in the future.
