2011 KOA Founder's Award

Come on in and enjoy the extremely spacious and grassy sites.

The Cooperstown KOA is a great base camp for visiting the Baseball Hall of Fame, but there's a lot more to do around this quiet campground in the foothills of the Adirondacks. Many of our campers stay with us while enjoying Cooperstown, the Dreams Park, Baseball Hall of Fame, Howe Caverns, Erie Canal Cruises, Remington Arms museum, Farmers museum, the Fenimore Art museum and local Breweries.

Camp here and you're just a couple miles from Otsego and Canadarago lakes, where you can fish for bass. Glimmerglass State Park has many trails for hiking, or you can hike around the campground and farm roads. The Leatherstocking Theatre and Glimmerglass Opera provide first-rate entertainment, and Amish neighbors make their way to the campground by horse and buggy for in-season bake sales.

All of this, along with the our campground's pool, activities, game room, banana bikes and hayrides offer KOA campers plenty to do, capped by lovely sunsets in the hills. We love our four-legged campers, too! Feel free to walk your pets out back of the campground and around the fields of the beautiful quiet countryside.

Come on in and enjoy the extremely spacious and grassy sites. Tent sites, RV sites, and cozy Cabins- we'll find you the perfect fit, and every site includes a fire ring and picnic table. We have pull-throughs as long as 70 feet available. Don't forget to ask about our rentals, including one-room Camping Cabins and immaculate Travel Trailers loaded with all the amenities! Come and see us- we'll make you feel right at home.

Meet Your Hosts

"We were a kamping family and always enjoyed being around happy, vacationing people," said Mike Dailey. And so it is perhaps no surprise that he and wife Gail decided to purchase the Cooperstown, NY KOA.

Gail, a registered nurse and Mike, who was an owner of a concrete, aggregate and hot mix supply business, understand what great customer service means. Customer service is at the top of the list of what they guarantee their guests will receive from them and their staff.

"We want to exceed their expectations," said Gail, "and learn what they would like to see in the future. This is a fun place that is always improving."

In the off-season, Mike and Gail are always on the go. The couple enjoys traveling, riding motorcycles and going boating. They also have fun playing and spending time with their dogs "Skipper" and "KC" who love to great our guests.
