What a great 2016 season! It started with a great spring and ended with a great fall. We are very thankful to all of our campers and will never forget that our success is due to our happy campers. Our focus will always be on customer service and their experiences. We grew another 5% in campers. We once again earned the KOA Founders Award.
Many more improvements are planned for 2017 such as a new pool liner, updating electrical systems to include new transformers, bathroom floor renovations, new entrance sign, road work, upgrades to WIFI to 90megs, and lots of general maintenance.
Seasonal sites are almost full. Just one site left.

For many years, Camper Mary A, Santee has made beautiful quilts for our Care Camps Raffle. This past year, the number of quilts made on her dining room table has reach 651. A special message is always found on the quilts and this one reads: "Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around."
We at KOA salute Mary for her leadership, caring, and dedicated help with our Care Camps Fundraising weekends. A number of items are raffled at both Care Camp Weekends: May 12/13 and October 13/14, 2017
This summer brought yet another increase in funds for the KOA Cancer Care Camps for Kids by recycling. aluminum cans. Thanks to our seasonal camper, Lynn Canham, he collected 5 cent returnable cans and turned them into cash. The campground matched the amount of $540 that brought the effort to $1080. Thanks, Lynn, for leading the way. He hopes to increase the amount of cans for 2017. You can help by recycling your cans by putting them in the special container and not in the regular trash. Lynn even takes any aluminum cans that add up to lots of cash for the KOA Care Camps.
