January 2015 KOA News
What a great 2014 season! Despite the wet start in the spring, the summer and fall numbers made up for it. We are very thankful to all of our campers and will never forget that our success is due to our wonderful campers. Our focus will always be on customer service and their experiences. Even the two October Halloween weekends were well attended. We once again earned the KOA Founders Award.
Many of the improvements for 2014 were right on, especially the new air conditioners in all the cabins.
Plans for 2015 include expanding electric to more big tent sites, more patios, new trail,, and lots of maintenance. Seasonal sites are almost full. Just two open sites left.
I am delighted to announce our staff for 2015 - Holly & Carl Koring are returning. Our new couple has been camping for many years, John & Barbara Burnett. Longtime seasonals, Brenda & Elliott Olsen will be managing the Kafe. Shelly Canham, another seasonal from Florida will be in the office.

Annual Quilt For Cancer Camp Rafles
For many years, Camper Mary A, Santee has made beautiful quilts for our Care Camps Raffle. This past year, the number of quilts made on her dining room table has reach 641. A special message is always found on the quilts and this one reads: "Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around."
We at KOA salute Mary for her leadership, caring, and dedicated help with our Care Camps Fundraising weekends.
Bench On Pond Dedicated To Roberta
On the KOA pond, you will find a new bench honoring Roberta Breed who camped at this campground for many years. The plaque reads: "Remembering Roberta & Her Love For Family, Friends, & Campfires". She is dearly missed by all. She always believed in the power of camping and enjoying campfires with her family. We at KOA thank her granddaughter, Heather Breed, for her work on this thoughtful family gift. The bench is made of environmental recycled plastic material in keeping with our "Go Green" efforts.
