So, this weekend is all dedicated to just being a kid. We'll have a balloon artist who will make balloon art – animals or swords etc. We are planning face painting again. An inflatable obstacle course: suitable for ALL ages. Lots of games, crafts and other fun things to do all weekend long. Please note, the face painter will have their own charge probably and the inflatable obstacle course is rented so there is a $5 per person charge for unlimited turns. To top it off, a pancake breakfast on Sunday morning for $5 per person to raise money for Care Camps.
Come enjoy some amazing corn on the cob on us. Lather it with butter and salt and eat it right on the spot, dripping all down your face, or take a plate of it back to your campsite to enjoy with your steaks and baked potatoes. We will have a corn themed scavenger hunt and enjoy some yummy popcorn during movie night. All the regular games and activities as usual as well.
We have rockets for the kids. They get to decorate and improve their own rocket and we will have a rocket launching time to see whose rocket can get the highest. We will have a limbo contest to see who can go the lowest. A fireworks display will go up high in the sky. We'll be having the giant soccer game return this weekend as well which was a huge hit with the kids. This is a Leave Your Rig Weekend.
With so many wineries in the area, many people come and stay here and then go take a tour of all the wineries. Well, we wanted to add to the fun by having our very own wine tasting right at the campground. Feel free to visit some of the other wineries during the day and then enjoy some local wine at a tasting back at the KOA at night. We will still be running lots of games and activities for the kids this year! Including bringing the inflatable obstacle course back so please don't think this is an adults only weekend! This is a Leave Your Rig weekend.
This is one of my favourite weekends. It's where we get to reward all of the Value Kard holders with a free night of camping. If you are a valid Value Kard holder and you come camping on Friday night, then Saturday night is on us. Even if you've never had a Value Kard before, we encourage you to buy one and join in the fun and free camping of this weekend. We will have lots of games and activities going on as well and a $5 per person pancake breakfast on Sunday morning to raise money for Care Camps. This is a Leave Your Rig weekend.
This is a very popular weekend in this region. Brighton hosts the Annual Apple Fest http://brightonapplefest.ca/ due to the abundance of orchards that are ready for harvest. They have all their wares on display and for sale. If you like apples, you do not want to miss out on this amazing weekend. To add to the fun, we will have apple bobbing set up for anyone who wants to test their skills. Craft time will be making caramel apples. Expect all the usual activities and games as well. This is a Leave Your Rig weekend.
What better way to celebrate this amazing fall month and the very near end of camping with an Oktoberfest party? Sausages, Sauerkraut, and beer are the yummy fare on the menu for Saturday night. We've got some fun Oktoberfest games planned and all the usual fun and games and activities we usually host. This is a Leave Your Rig weekend.
This is an amazing weekend to remember all the things we have to be thankful for. Honestly, what better thing to be thankful for than spending time with family and eating Turkey!!! We have lots of fun events planned for this Thanksgiving Long Weekend: pumpkin bowling, pumpkin ring tossing, crafts, scavenger hunts/games, wagon rides, movie nights, and the ultimate catered turkey dinner with all the fixings. This is a Leave Your Rig weekend.
This is our final weekend for the season. We are excited to celebrate an early Halloween. We will have pumpkin carving, decorating your site, and trick or treating in full costume. Bring your decorations, but please keep them age appropriate, we have a lot of younger kids at our campground so nothing too scary please. Bring your costumes and please remember to also bring candy to hand out to all the trick or treaters. We'll be doing another late night scary event this year which I know will be a HUGE hit again because we scared so many of you in 2016 - it was so fun! This is the weekend we will be tallying up our collectable duckies. (Please see contest rules as they have changed this year).
Racing on dirt...as it should be! Located only 10 minutes from the campground, you won't want to miss the opportunity to see these races. The Brighton Speedway hosts all sorts of different kinds of races, so be sure to check out their schedule in the link below to get full details.
