The campgrounds are well taken care of, with ongoing maintenance given a recent and unusual flood; the staff are very kind and friendly; each site is large enough, and the location is perfect: In every direction is beauty and delight.

Good location for a short stop. It’s right off the highway. Very friendly staff. They have propane for rv’s for sale which was very convenient.

Great well maintained campground. Due to this though there is lots of maintenance noise. Small equipment moving around gravel all day. Jackhammering the pool started at 8 am on a holiday. Also since the pool was out of commission a small discount would have been appreciated.

Nice stay. Traffic noise and lights from other campers made it difficult to sleep. More attention needs to be paid to the restrooms. Men’s had poop smeared on the walls of every stall and women’s restroom had clogged toilets.

We stayed Presidents weekend. The KOA and facilities are wonderful. Our stay was so amazing because the staff was so kind and helpful with everything.

Close to the highway and noisy, can't do anything about that. Bathrooms are real clean and are old, but the shower was nice and hot.

Very clean and quiet place to stay everyone was friendly…i would not stay more than 2nights max i feel that some spots are squeezed in together…if i come back i would request the perimeter sites.

It was a pleasant weekend. KOA staff made it an easy check in. The campground was clean, including the bathrooms. We will definitely be back!

Nice and clean and the only thing I found that I didn’t like was it the traffic noise . Since I’m a lite sleeper it was hard for me to sleep with the traffic noise.

The staff was amazing. All were so helpful to us. The location is great. The sites are a bit narrow for a big rigs. That would not stop us from staying there again.

One of the most friendly and helpful staff we've interacted at at any campground. Very nice location and in good shape considering the recent damaging weather. Once all the amenites are fully operational and the weather returns to normal, will be beautiful. Will definitely stay again when in the area.

The camp ground was closed due to flooding, the team was cleaning up the debris. San Luis Port had just kicked my out without a refund due to the camp host not understanding an injection black tank system in my RV. I had been driving all day and needed a place to stop over for just the night. Although closed, Julie made an exception and let me stay! I am so grateful there are still good people!

Our stay was only one night on the way to our final destination but it was great. We were traveling with a 9 & 5 year old and there was a lot for them to do. Even the pool was heated in January and the game room was fun for the kids

We really enjoyed our stay at Avila KOA. Lisa was great at check in, as was the nice man who showed us to our site and helped us back our motor van into our spot. The facility was clean and secure, with a nice store for provisions. They even had free chocolate chip cookies at check in!

The stay was fantastic!! Every time we have been there it has been great! The staff was wonderful!! Very friendly, very accommodating, We will definitely make a return visit! We have stayed here at the Avila/Pismo Beach KOA about 4 times and every time has been wonderful. We do miss the wine tasting and the free movies and the New Year's Day breakfast but... we understand, change is good TY

We had a great time, unfortunately it rained most of our week. The staff was great and very accommodating to our needs. The price per night had went up from our last stay which was a bit steep but other than that we really loved our site. Thank you to the entire staff keeping the park clean and inviting.

The campsite we were put in had a slight drop off witch caused us to have to pull forward more then normal to get the trailer level. Also the amount of dead trees and leaves made it very hard to walk around the back of the trailer. During our stay multiple trees limbs did fall into our sight. Other than those issues we had a blast. Loved the game room and the staff was great and so welcoming!

Didn’t get one of the sites we requested- our trailer barely fit in the site we got. Not room to park our truck at our own site. We are usually happy with our stay but left the day before our scheduled departure.

We loved it here! The hosts were FABULOUS! The campground is spotless, the restrooms were really clean and the location was great. We will definitely be back and we'll stay longer next time. Best, Julie Sherry

My friend booked two RV sites for us I was nervous at first seeing the reviews but they def changed management bc the staff couldn't be nicer. They gave our kids a bunch of free toys and were very accommodating. All facilities were spotless and the best of all the Pool (which was pretty big) and jacuzzi were both heated. We went in early Feb when it was cold and my boys are squeamish in cold water but the pool was warm enough for them even at night. Heated pools are huge for us. Super convenient to everything, 5 out of 5, we will be back for sure!

This is a good Koa RV Park. Location is good, it's quiet, the staff is friendly, and both Avila and Pismo Beach are nearby. A bit pricey. Why are people complaining about the freeway noise? We're in spot 81 backed up to Highway 101, and it's not noisy at all. This place is well run and a great place to stay.

We stay here once a year during Christmas time with family and extended family. The cabins are tiny little perfect getaways nothing special, but have all the amenities that you need. The area around has plenty room for kids to play, they have jungle gyms, and walking path for dogs. there is also the Bob Jones trail that you can walk or ride your bike or whatever you feel like all the way down into Avila. We will keep coming back here every year for Christmas.
