We love KOA for location and convenience. We stayed in a cabin. The bathhouse was close by and very clean. The couple who run this KOA ate awesome. The camp is less than 20 minutes from White Sands NP. We highly recommend this park.

I would have given a five except it is right by train tracks and they are pretty loud all night. But the amenities were great--showers, laundry, camp store, etc...and the people were friendly and fabulous.

Last minute reservation, and didn't get into camp until after hours, so didn't meet any staff, but called earlier and they let us know where to find out reservation info when we did arrive. Tent pad was super huge, used pea gravel, and had a concrete picnic table. Also had a pole with lights you could turn on/off, which made setup in the dark super easy. Bathrooms were clean, no issues with them.

The White Sands KOA was in an urban setting so it was a bit nosey. Good amenities throughout the campground. I noticed that on our campground site, the diameter of the wastewater opening was smaller than the discharge hose. You need an smaller-diameter adapter or be able to firmly secure the discharge pipe to the opening. Bathrooms and showers were okay.

We just sVery nice payed two nights to explore the area and White Sand Dunes National Park. Very nice place and easy to get in and out of with a big rig.

One of the nicest KOA's we've stayed at. Great staff. Exceptionally clean. Great location for area. While clean and functional, showers and baths are due for a remodel.

K away is always wonderful especially in a pinch. My slide out was coming out of my RV and I had to stop get on electric and fix it and they were able to be so helpful supportive and accommodating. I’m a KOA elites and have been since 2021. There’s a reason for that. Greg Kayway make sure you stop at the Carlsbad K Way.

Very nice showers, restrooms, laundry. Staff were super friendly, check-in very nice and informative. Small dog park was clean and so useful. There is a gift shop with camping needs and souvenirs. All in all a very nice 2-day stay for us.

Fantastic hosts. Squeezed us in after not finding a place anywhere due to the eclipse coming up. Facilities were very nice and clean. I would come back if we are ever in the area.

Fantastic staff! Wonderful facilities. They even hosted an Easter Egg Hunt for children and Sunday morning services. This is a must stay if ever in this location.

Sandy & Kelly run a great KOA. They are always helpful in helping campers find interesting places to visit in the area & accommodating to our needs! A very nice place to stay!

The campground was clean and well landscaped. They let us borrow sleds for White Sands. Their playground and playroom were fun for our 4 and 10 year old. The dog park was nice for our dog. The sites were very close together. The road noise was somewhat loud at night. The staff was great.

Well kept KOA. North of the White Sands NP. Got fresh popcorn upon arrival. Beautiful office.

Very spacious site E6. Privacy fences. Close to White Sands NP. Stayed here mid-Feb 2024. Pull-through FHU 50 amp. All gravel. Site #E6 General: Nice store and grounds. Easy access. Well-maintained with updated facilities. Staff: Staff is great! Owners are caring and polite. Sites: Spacious gravel sites with some privacy from fences. Large rock gravel. Campground Road: Gravel road. Campground WiFi: Could not always connect to campground WiFi Grounds: Clean and maintained really well. Bathrooms/Showers: Women's showers were really nice—newly renovated! Private locked rooms. The men's showers were old and a bit smelly/dirty. Stall-style showers with a locking door to the stall. Laundry: Really nice newly renovated facility and the machines worked very well. Dried and washed well. Location: Gas, groceries, and restaurants all within 5-10 min. 20 min from White Sands NP. Near highway: No. You do turn off of the main road (route, not an interstate) and go back a few blocks so minimal road noise. Near train: Yes. Train is close but not immediately connected to the KOA. Cell using booster: AT&T (2 of 4 bars —4G) and Verizon (3 of 4 bars sometimes 4 bars—4G) worked well enough. Worked on VPN just fine and have Zoom meetings. Small moments of lag when using AT&T. Could stream as well on both networks.
