Enjoy Quebec City's Wineries With Wine Tastings

Quebec City is known for its beautiful cobblestone streets and historic cities, offering an enchanting French-influenced getaway for anyone curious to see what it's all about. However, the area is also home to some of the finest wineries and vineyards with picturesque views and crisp wines. If you are in town, you will want to check out the following wineries near Quebec City.

Vignoble de l'isle de Bacchus

Leave your worries at the door of this long-standing winery nestled within more than 27 acres of beautiful countryside. Vignoble de I'isle de Bacchus has a rich history with its name dating back to 1535 when the French explorer Jacques Cartier renamed Île d'Orléans.

This local pioneer opened its doors in 1982 and is now home to 10 delicious types of wines, created from more than 35,000 vines growing grape varieties including Eona, Vidal and White Acadia. You can sample a little of each or order a glass you can sip on as you stroll through the vineyard. This is a must-visit winery in Quebec City with stunning views, superb wines and a lovely bistro with charcuterie and cheese boards you won't want to miss.

Saint-Pierre Le Vignoble

Kick your feet up on a beautiful outdoor terrace while you overlook the St. Lawrence River and experience a wine tasting in Quebec City like no other. Saint-Pierre Le Vignoble was opened in 2003 and is easily recognized thanks to its unique barn stable that was created in 1935.

This Nordic vineyard grows rustic and semi-rustic varieties, using environmentally friendly farming practices to ensure each wine reaches its full potential without harming the world. They offer a broad range of wines — providing something for every palate to enjoy. Some of their popular types include dry oaky white wines, rosé wines, sparkling white wines and macerated white wines.

Vignoble Domaine des 3 Moulins

Built upon the lands of sawmills reaching back to the 17th century, Vignoble Domaine de 3 Moulins offers a journey through history as you take in the unique aromatics of their tasty wines. This Quebec City winery started operation in 2001, and they now specialize in five different types of award-winning wines, including white wine, red wine and rosé. You can even buy them in jelly form!  If you want to see just how good their products are, stop in for a glass and a beautiful walk during your stay in Quebec City.

Vignoble Domaine L'Ange Gardien

Vignoble Domaine L'Ange Gardien was birthed in 2004 by four friends with nothing more than a dream. It didn't produce its first wine until 2007 and now boasts a yearly production of more than 40,000 bottles. Their vineyard sits along the St. Lawrence River in L'Ange Gardien, with rolling hills and eye-catching greenery you can't beat. Lounge on their outdoor patio or take a relaxing walk through their vines while you try a variety of unique wines, including:

  • Orange wine
  • Red wine
  • Ice wine
  • Glazed apple cider
  • Rosé

Vignoble du Mitan

There's nothing stronger than family, which is exactly what Vignoble du Mitan stands for. Constructed on family land in 1998, this winery is operated by a father and daughter team who oversee nearly 8,000 vines responsible for creating their wines. Bring your friends, family and even your four-legged friend to enjoy all kinds of wine, from white wine to rosé. If you get hungry while you're relaxing on their terrace overlooking the St. Lawrence River, head to the Gourmet Corner for a fresh bite to eat.
