Colorado’s most frequently visited man-made attraction. Highlights of your tour will include touring the USAFA Visitor Center, the Planetarium, the Cabet Field House and the beautiful Cabet Chapel.

Pikes Peak Highway and Cog Railway

It’s not just a highway -- it’s the Pikes Peak Highway. And it’s the road to a new adventure, winding its way through lush stands of aspen trees, breathtaking alpine meadows, until it reaches the summit of one of America’s most storied mountains. Also enjoy hiking and biking trails, fishing in the crystal clear waters of the hidden lakes, there is something for everyone. The Pikes Peak Highway is open year round; 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. September thru May and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. June thru August. You can also sit back and relax as the world’s highest cog railway takes you to the top of America’s best-known mountain. Watch Bighorn sheep, deer, marmots, elk and other wildlife as you head to the summit in safe, modern Swiss trains. Trains depart seven days a week from late April through October. The trip takes approximately three hours and ten minutes. Visit Pikes Peak Cog Railroad online for more information
