This Visalia/ Fresno, California area campground being located near Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks makes this a great spot for those who plan to visit the Sierras. Our location provides opportunities for wonderful day trips. And the area is a paradise for hiking and sight-seeing with spectacular views.
Visalia is one of the oldest cities in California. Rich in small-town charm, the retro-style downtown is fun to stroll for unique shopping, antiques and a variety of restaurants.
Visalia/Sequoia National Park South KOA features grassy, shaded pull thru sites, free Wi-Fi, cable TV, one and two room camping cabins with Air-conditioning, and camping Lodges, that sleep up to 6 people. We have a heated swimming Pool, volleyball, horseshoes, game room and kids play ground, K9 dog park. Tent campers, we have large tent sites with lots of shade, fire rings, tables, water and our clean restrooms and hot showers are not far away.

Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Parks
Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks are the home of Mt. Whitney and the giant Sequoia trees, some of the oldest and largest of all living things. These attractions are located less than 40 miles away.
Yosemite National Park
Whether you are traveling south from Yosemite or North from Southern California, Nevada or Arizona, Visalia KOA is the perfect halfway point. Truly Yosemite is one of the most beautiful places in the United States.
The new Adventure Park

Shopping for fun and Antiques
The greater Visalia area is a shopper's paradise. From Flea Markets to Farmers Markets and dozens of antiques stores here and in the Three Rivers area, you are sure to find something you can take home. Plus a large, enclosed shopping mall to spend your time walking around or watching a movie. We'd love to give you the details.
Golfing
There are several courses that are near the campground for the beginner or the experienced golfer. Valley Oaks is less than 3 miles away. Sierra View is approximately 5 miles from here. And there are others. Green fees and other information are available at the campground office.
Other Attractions
The greater Visalia area has something for just about anyone: three lakes - Kaweah, Success and Shaver are all within an hour's drive. There's the Chinese Cultural Center displaying a rich culture going back to gold rush days. For an inexpensive day or evening of baseball with a minor league team, The Visalia Rawhides play during the summer right here at Recreation Park.

Kaweah Lake
20 miles East of Visalia.
Boating, fishing, swimming, water-skiing, picnicking and camping are favorite lake activities. A boat launch area is located at Lemon hill. The marina rents patio boats, fishing boats and wave runners at daily, half-day and hourly rates. Fishing tackle, bait, snacks, ice and gas are also available at the marina convenience store.

2012 Tulare County Fair is the largest locally attended event in Tulare County.
