If you're looking for a family friendly camping experience, come join us at the Capital City/ Topeka KOA!

The Capital City KOA is the largest and top rated campground in the Topeka area. All RV sites are full service with Free Cable TV and Wi-Fi internet access. Our KOA is located on the south edge of Topeka, just minutes from downtown, and close to all the area attractions.

New amenities for 2010 include Cable TV throughout the park. A new Studio Lodge and our one of a kind Hayloft Theatre. This along with our Monster Playground, Swim beach, and our refurbished Farmall tractor for Hayrack rides, assures everyone will have a great time!

Our main building is a turn of the century barn, which house's our General Store, Rec-room, Exercise room, Meeting rooms, and our one of a kind Hayloft Theatre.

No RV? No problem! We have large open tent sites, and three types of rental units. Our Cabin sleeps 4 and our bunkhouse sleeps 6. Both units have a refrigerator, outside cooking area, picnic table, and cable TV. Our new Studio Lodge sleeps 4, has a full bath, mini kitchen, outside grill and campfire ring, (an excellent choice for the non-roughing it types).

Other amenities include: three fishing ponds; swim beach with floating dock; game room; horse shoes; volleyball; and Kamp K-9 for the family dog. All this plus several historical sites and area attractions! If you are looking for a family friendly camping experience, join us at the Topeka / Capital City KOA! We look forward to your visit.

"We take great pride in our kampground," say owners Charles and Linda Reaser. "It's our baby. We built it from the ground up." Their pride shows in the restored, turn-of-the-century barn and throughout the kampground.

Before becoming KOA Kampground owners, Charlie worked as a warehouseman and Linda was a baker; they also owned a mobile concession business.

So how did they come to the campground business? "We both grew up in families who were active in camping, and we have fond memories of it. We love the outdoors. We enjoy the folks who camp with us - campers are truly special people. We feel blessed to raise our children in this type of an atmosphere," say the Reasers.

"We feel we have the best job in the world: being around all the friendly campers. Our philosophy is to treat our campers the way we would want to be treated. We have a small staff that shares our views of making everyone's stay a GREAT one!"

When they aren't taking care of their campers, Charlie enjoys motorcycle riding and Linda loves her miniature horses. Together, they like to travel with their family, cruising in their own RV.
