The Blue Ridge Scenic Railway starts in downtown Blue Ridge and winds its way through the countryside to its final destination in downtown McCaysville. Train rides are 4-hours in length and guests ride the equivalent of 26-miles round trip. Tickets are required and can be purchased online.

The BRTR KOA is minutes away from the Cohutta wilderness (Chattachooche National Forest). The Benton McKaye trailhead spans for miles and the mountain views are just tremendous. Most of the trailheads in the Cohutta are open year-round, but due to freezing temperatures and icy roads, some of them are closed through March. The website below offers information about all of the local trail possibility. In addition, you can also stop by our store and pick up some free trail guide maps.
This is the go-to place for all you Bigfoot lovers!! Tickets are required, but the tour itself includes a 45-minute self-guided tour and allows visitors to read up on current Bigfoot research. For more information, hours of operation, and driving directions, please visit the website linked below.

The Blue Ridge Community Theater is conveniently located near downtown Blue Ridge and offers a wide variety of plays throughout the year. The theater staff are community focused and are involved in several local non-profit organizations and works with the downtown Blue Ridge arts center to ensure that every guest experience is truly one of a kind. Tickets are required for each of the showings and currently can only be purchased over the phone.

Horseshoe Bend Park is located on the Toccoa River in McCaysville, GA. This park allows guests to enjoy easy access to fishing on the Toccoa River, and includes a playground, volleyball net, and picnic tables.

When you start the game you are given 60-minutes to figure out how to solve the clues in each room and work your way to the end. Project Chimps is truly one in a million! This volunteer-led sanctuary provides homes to former research chimpanzees and provides the chimps a space of their own in the 236-acre forest. If interested in supporting this mission, you can visit the website, take a personality quiz, and be matched to one of the chimpanzees in the park. When your match appears, it tells you what your chimpanzee loves the most. In addition to donations, this organization does host in-person, virtual, and private events. Project Chimps does offer home education, field trips, and scout programs for children. If you're just wanting to visit for the day, you can walk one of the hiking trails that were just added to the property.

Come enjoy all four of Project Cimps new hiking trails. You can take a quick .3 mile hike, or, if you're looking for something longer, can venture up to 2.5 miles.
