The site and entire campground was marvelous. We certainly enjoyed our stay and are quite impressed with the new site we moved to. The staff that we had contact with was friendly and very helpful when we had questions.

Everyone we encountered was so friendly. The campground is very good. With some renovations to some run down areas this will be an excellent property. Loved the tree houses! We enjoyed our stay.

We have been coming to Sunbury KOA twice a year starting in May of 2020. This was beautiful when it was family owned. The people were so friendly. The grounds were very beautiful. NOW that KOA corporate took over, it is terrible. The was trash at a site across from the pond. We watched an employee drive by it twice. In the 600, a camper used his own weedeater at his site. I have a lot more to say

Our site was perfect. We have already rebooked for next year. The scenery in Ohio is just what we needed to relax . Close to home and yet out of the way from city living.

The campground is nice. I wish they would stream line the check in process better. It’s inconvenient to unbuckle the kids, walk to the store and check in. When I came back out there was a long line of campers. Appears to be some maintenance going on as when I went to the shower house the 1st stall had metal down and shower was taken apart. No out of order sign on stall.

We have made this an annual trip for our family. A few things I noticed this year. 1. The zip line was down awaiting a part that was back ordered. If possible, it would have been nice to know this before our trip and the kids were very excited to play on it. 2. Both playgrounds could use some TLC. Each ramp is missing slats to help climb, making it dangerous and difficult for younger ones to go up

Tristan was amazing! She took care of some unsafe situations very professionally. Some of the landscaping around the sites was a little overgrown. Lots of activities for kids and the adult Bingo was a lot of fun!

Friendly staff and so much to do for the kids. Do wish the camp store was stocked a little more, maybe was low due to end of season but is easier to purchase there than make a trip to the closest store.

The Macy's Manor cabin was very nice. Liked the ramp going into the cabin, our dog is handicapped and has difficulty with steps. We were also happy to see a Buckeye tree near our site. The staff was helpful and friendly. We will hopefully stay there again.

Very friendly staff, plenty of things for the kids to do. Golf carts should run a little smoother for the price.TV in cabin was glitchy, and the bunk beds made terrible noises with the twitch of a muscle, very cheap. Other than that we had an enjoyable time!

It was our first stay at your campground. My grandson was with us. He enjoyed the bounce pads and and zip line. He caught his first fish at your pond. We're coming back in October to celebrate his birthday.

This is a nice campground. Staff are friendly and helpful. Communication via text option was nice. Loved meeting the couple in charge of the cafe! They were so kind.

The staff is great. They help to make our stay there very enjoyable. This campground is massive and they have several things within the RV park to do, Fishing lakes, lake and pool swimming along with a petting zoo, to name a few. Even though the park is huge they keep it very clean. One other thing, there is a difference in the campsites, ranging from a regular campsite to a remote(in the woods).

There is SO much to do here for the whole family. Loved the old town vibe and the country setting. Never a dull moment with plenty of activities for all ages. All facilities are clean and the staff was so friendly and helpful!

We have spent the last 5 Labor Days at Sunbury. This year, there was new mgmt again! Was disappointed in the reduction of activities for a Holiday weekend. Last year, there were more activities for the kids, a band one evening, and better office and store hours. Really, closing the cafe at 12 noon on Sunday and the store at 5....everyone was staying until Monday, access would have been nice.

We stayed Memorial Day weekend and was very disappointed, had been staying here since before it was a KOA. But it was a totally different experience this time. Staff was very friendly and visible. Sites were much better taken care of. Pool and bathrooms were clean. Hopefully next time we can give it a 5 star rating. Keep up the good work & improvements. 11 am check out time you are rushed.

The kids enjoyed all of the camping amenities. However, we were disappointed that the store closed early on Sunday during a holiday weekend. It also appeared that the campground was short staffed.

Third year staying with family and friends for Labor Day weekend. Helpful staff, plenty of amenities, bath house was clean. Would be great if more of the roads could be paved. So much dust.

We always have great time at KOA Sunbury. Lots of things to do for the whole family. We like the Boondocks because it’s wooded and for the most part quiet, but lively when it needs to be like OSU game day! This past Labor Day weekend they had a golf cart parade which was fun. I highly recommend camping here!

The absolute best KOA we've been to. We loved our spot back in The Backwoods. However, the campground could use some improvements. Pros: - Huge campus with variety of spaces around lake and in wooded areas. - Zipline, jump pad, disk golf, and other toys for the children. - Petting zoo, lake, and nature trail. - Office staff friendly.  Let us receive our packages - a huge plus for us! Cons: - Speed limit not enforced.  This is true for the long-term residents, weekend campers, and maintenance/work campers. Some work campers in their personal vehicles are going way too fast including a gold minivan that is at least going over by 4x - 5x the 5 MPH limit and kicking up dust and neglecting safety of the kids playing nearby. - Maintenance lacking - many unmowed spots and areas (like some of the disk golf course), random trash throughout the campus.  We finally had to clean up the garbage in our site and in the woods behind us.  Just walk around the campus on foot with a few garbage bags and you'll be surprised how much you can pick up. - Major rotting tree in our site that needs to be removed immediately before it becomes a disaster (yes, we informed a maintenance worker). - Nature trail needs major maintenance including whole trees and tree limbs across trail making parts impassable, not to mention the muddy/boggy areas. - Black widow spider in our electrical box - The Backwoods area got quite loud last night we were there with many campers including some unruly ones.  Also, there was an RV where they were clearly smoking the good lettuce, if you know what I mean. 😉 - Overgrown tree branches need to be trimmed back as they were scraping our RV on the way out in a few areas. All-in-all we had a great time and plan on returning.  I hope these suggestions help as this could be an absolutely stellar experience with just a few, easy improvements.

Feels kinda weird using a Hotel list for a campground but rooms=site I would say it was excellent. They have obviously done a lot to keep the sites up. Wood composite Adirondack furniture was at many of the sites and all that we saw had concrete patios. Service was great. Greeted with a smile and friendly faces. Location - hard to beat a location like this in the middle of God's country. It was quiet and easy to get to any of the nearby attractions.
