The staff wasn’t very helpful on some things! And you says that you are by Lake Winnipesaukee that is wrong!!!! You need to update where you are located you aren’t by Lake Winnipesaukee it was an hour away from you!!!

Hi Andy! Our location, just south of Lake Winnipesaukee and just west of the Maine coastline, offers guests the opportunity to experience much of the beauty of New Hampshire and Southern Maine. Some attractions require a short drive, but many guests find our location perfectly nestled between these.

we had a great weekend the staff was great the campground was very clean and a lot fun definitely going back and the young man that delivered our firewood was excellent and very personable

Cabin looked great but the downside was the water had an awful smell the entire time where we only took one shower each, the shower curtain either leaked water all over the floor or covered the entire shower floor. We went because it's advertised as a LAKE and it is a man made POND that is only 4 ft deep. There were no fish and we had to leave the camp to go fishing. We will not be back.

Thank you for the review, Meaghan. We are onsite 24/7 to assist with any needs, including shower curtains! Our 5-acre pond has a buoy area for safe swimming, but goes far deeper if desired. We often have fishing derbies in which smiling faces reel in many a catch! We're sorry nothing was biting!

My dog Sammy and cat Ruthy had the most amazing time at the Strafford KOA! The staff treated them like family, the sites were perfect, and the activities were endless. Clean facilities and friendly faces made their stay unforgettable. Highly recommended for a memorable camping experience! We have even booked our 2024 stay.

The campground was pretty nice but the site, on Playground road site 2 was very sloped and not level! Also, it was directly across from the playground and very loud! Campers were using our site for a short cut, they walked right through our site and thought nothing of it! The site was so sloped that my automatic levelers couldn’t make it level! I expected better from a KOA! I sent an email!

I had a fun long weekend with my son and his family. Everyone at the campground was super nice! I was very happy with our tent site. It was a very good sized site. We all noticed that the bathrooms stayed clean during our stay as well.

Grounds are well kept and clean. Our site was very spacious. Bathrooms were always clean. Staff was incredibly friendly. Firewood was dry and burned well. Neighboring sites were respectful. A couple more scheduled events for the kiddos may have been nice. Site-lock fee is steep, and paying a resort fee when the only thing included is the pool (none of the pond activities) is questionable.

An average KOA. Worth maybe $50 a night since the hook ups worked. But paid $130, and it was terrible! Sites so poorly laid out people couldn't get into them, & not level. No place for dogs to potty inside the campgound. NOT on a lake--false advertising. This KOA is WORSE than the Northampton, MA one, which had been the worst on my list. Buyer beware--OVERPRICED!

Shelah- Thank you for your review. We don't often experience guests being unable to get into our sites, but if that happens, we are always onsite to assist. As for our furry friends, we sit on 45 beautifully wooded acres and even have a dog park onsite. We only ask that you pick up after your pet!

We booked a tent site 89 over the phone and assured us we wouldn’t be moved. Got there and told us we had Rv site 6- tiny, no privacy and filled with poison berries with 2 dogs we couldn’t do it… they ended up moving us to a tent site (which is the kind of site we booked In The first place) on 23 next to smelly loud bathrooms. Not cool Koa. The CS lady with black hair was extremely unprofess

What a joke. Poison berries all over the site. The site we did not book. We booked a grass tent site and they switched us to an Rv gravel site. We eventually got them to switch us back to a tent site by the slamming bathroom door.Rude front desk talking down to us like we were dumb. Loud!!! If they are gonna be dog friendly maybe get rid of the poison berries and grape vines that will kill a dog!

The place need better cleaning ,when I got to my site I had to clean other dogs pot .my site smell terrible. Other then that all staff were very nice in polite .

Too many golf carts and too fast. Too many over head trees , the sap got all over everything and hard to off of vehicles.

It was my son’s first time “camping” ie glamping and he loved the RV that we stayed in. Great pool, splash bad and water slide. Had a blast on the paddle boats . Overall great stay unfortunately we had to leave a day early because my son got sick. Entire staff was very friendly and helpful Highly recommend.

Paid extra for water view but the water view that you see online and the actual water view when you get there is very different, my water view was look thru the woods over the yurts. Prices are too high for this campground, place is a money pit with a charge for everything, I have stayed in other beautiful KOA property’s across the nation for half as much. This KOA was a one time trip for me.

Our site was very nice, Staff was very attentive to us when we were having a hard time leveling our camper! I thought this was on the lake, like it says on this KOA. Strafford Lake Winnipesaukee South. But overall we had a nice time.

We had a great time. We were definitely surprised to be charged for the bedding that was left in our cabin. We were never told there was a charge for bedding that was left out for us. Very odd but other that that we no issues at all.

We have visited this campground countless times and actually held a family reunion there a couple of years ago. They have always been very helpful and go out of their way to provide a great camping experience. We always had a Motorhome but sold it this year and had our first experience in a deluxe cabin. Super accommodations.

Our stay was relaxing and fun! My only concerns was the camper we rented smelled like a bathroom the entire time to the point we could not use the bathroom due to the smell, I tried to clean it and it didn’t help, I think it has something to do with being piped into the septic. Also the table in the unit was not usable, when attempting to use it would just tip over, had to use the one outside.

There were a lot of problems with the camper we stayed in. It had broken furniture, mini blinds, etc. & wasn't properly cleaned. However the staff was very friendly & helpful.

Spots are not big rig friendly. We got our brand new class A all scratched up because sites were very awkward. Dusty roads and lots of holes in them. When it rained the mud was horrendous. Wi fi is advertised, it is a hot spot, not "wi fi" not strong at all.

Nice, small campground. Staff members were friendly. The kids enjoyed the activities, pool, and pond. The pond was much smaller than expected. Activities included karaoke, candy bingo, tie dye, movies, and dodgeball. Our biggest complaint was the flies. They were awful at our site which one was road behind the playground. You couldn't even sit at the site during the day due to the flies.

This site was the perfect location for our 2023 Family Vacation. We had a blast, the site was clean, and staff were extremely accommodating and friendly. The pool and splash pad were great for the family, the lake was perfect for our older girls whether it was paddle boarding or floating around in a tube. We normally plan day trips while on the KOA sites however no need here, plenty to enjoy.

We were placed close to the playground, the cable would not work for us in the RV even though the host service found no fault in the cable service. The showers were HUGE! Overall it was a nice place to spend the night.

When we arrived at our cabin there was an empty bottle of water in the parking space, a toy from another family in the top bunk, and in the rented golf cart, a cigarette butt and key card. We did inform the manager and she was extremely apologetic and offered us some wood. There were so many flies around and inside the cabin which really made it difficult to sit outside and gross inside.

We loved our stayed. The one thing that we had a minor issue with was the hot water and the very strong smell the water had. This was not our 1st stay here but it was the 1st time we had this issue. We do plan to come next summer. Our girls love the pool and paddel boats.

Not bad but too many young children operating golf carts and just riding around. I thought you had to be a certain age to operate golf carts. I only saw one adult working at campground, it looked like all very young kids running campground and nothing was explained to us at checkin. Also roads need attention in park and especially entrance with dropoff from main road and potholes need filling in.

Fantastic! Well let’s put campground with generous site sizing and well placed trees that made sites feel very private and great shade. Price was a good value, and there were great amenities. Pool was huge, lake was always busy with boats and fishers and the playground was amazing. easily in my top 3 KOAs of all time. If I ever make it this far north again, would absolutely stay here.

We spent several days here at the end of September. Lovely site, very quiet (especially during the week). Incredibly friendly and helpful staff (including Caleb, Jay, Marvin, and Haley). Quick walk from our site to very clean bathrooms, easily accessible showers. I think you may be closer to the Seacoast than Lake Winnie but that's less relevant. This is a great spot for just relaxing if you're trying to escape the rest of the world for a while. (FYI, Door Dash delivered some Pizza Hut from Rochester. We met them at the front gate, but it definitely saves a ride into Rochester.)

This KOA is ideally situated and offers a variety of accommodations. The grounds are clean and well-appointed. There is a pool, playground, basketball courts and a pond. Paddle boats, kayaks, and canoes are available for a fee and in good condition. We stayed for a week and enjoyed it very much. It was located within driving distance of Maine, Vermont, and Massachusetts. We would have spent more time exploring and relaxing at the KOA if not for our travel itinerary. I recommend this place to anyone traveling through the Granite State. Check it out!
