You can't beat the breathtaking panorama of the Mission Mountains rising behind the massive blue gem of Flathead Lake.
The first thing you'll notice when you arrive at the Polson, Montana KOA is the breathtaking panoramic views of the Mission Mountains rising behind the massive blue gem of Flathead Lake.
Come stay at the campground that has earned the highest ratings from both Trailer Life and Woodall’s each year.We are big rig friendly, with long, roomy pull through sites. Our facilities are top notch, as you would expect in an award-winning campground.Challenge the family on the miniature golf course, play basketball or volleyball and swim in our heated pool which is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
In 2008 the owners developed a new "RV Motorcoach Resort", which is located adjacent to the campground. This resort is exclusive to "Class A" motor coaches, great for 30+ foot rigs, and is available for both nightly rentals and ownership. It gives you the opportunity to own a piece of Montana. For those with Montana LLC’s, it gives you a legitimate address.
We are centrally located in the Mission Valley, so day trips to Kalispell, Big Fork, Missoula and the National Bison Range are easy.We are on the main route to Glacier National Park, which is also easily accessed from here.
Go on an adventure with area outfitters that offer fishing on the lake, horseback riding, whitewater rafting, or boat tours of Flathead Lake and Wild Horse Island. There are great museums of the local area and Native American culture. Each July there are Pow-wows nearby the campground, where you'll experience Native American culture first hand.
Our staff is dedicated to making your stay with us one you’ll remember for a lifetime.

St. Ignatius Mission
This church is said to be the third most beautiful in the world. Constructed in the early 1890’s, the walls and ceilings contain 58 original, color murals by Brother Joseph Carignano, an untrained Jesuit brother who served in the mission’s kitchen. A visit to this exquisite mission is a very rewarding experience.
Cherry Picking
There are numerous orchards along the southern and eastern shores of Flathead Lake. Spring is a time of beautiful blooming trees, and mid-July is the time to pick the ripe fruit. You may stop at numerous road side stands to buy fresh picked cherries, or spend a few hours picking your own. There are also pears, peaches and apples available.
Kerr Dam
Kerr Dam, completed in 1938, spans the Flathead River six miles downstream from the lake. This privately owned power dam regulates the lake levels to a maximum of 10 feet, between 2,883 feet and 2893 feet above mean sea level. Before the dam, the lake level would peak in June and then slowly drop until the following spring. The lake level is now regulated by a cooperative agreement between flood control, recreation, agriculture, and power interests. The hike down to the dam's observation deck rewards you with scenic views of the river, lake and mountains. You can incorporate this day trip with a day browsing museums and shops in Polson.
Polson Rodeo
Mission Mountain PRCA Rodeo is held at the Polson Fairgrounds, just half a mile from the Polson KOA. This event is a two night action packed Pro Rodeo in a beautiful setting at the Polson Fairgrounds arena.
