We had a family group to come stay and had a great time. I would recommend spraying the cabins for mosquitos & spiders and maybe taking a moment to pressure wash the porches and pier area but other than that we had a great time. definitely will be back .

My partner and I enjoyed our stay. We stayed active on the campground. The dog park was very nice. My dog had so much fun playing. This is our 3rd visit and we will be back.

The only issue was activities could not happen without the store being open. Spent over 3 hours waiting on store to open to ride the pedal bikes. Store was out of basic food staples like coffee. The cabin needs a good cleaning under the beds and sofa. Recommend a blind for the front door window.

We stayed in a cabin. It was very clean and the fully stocked kitchen was very nice. We were with a group that included children and the activities that were offered to them was nice. The camp staff were very friendly and more than willing to offer help, suggestions and service. We will definitely stay here again and recommend this campground to our friends.

Our stay at the Currituck Sound KOA was very nice. We rented a waterview cabin, which had beautiful views, was clean & spacious. We brought our Red Heeler, Chewie, with us and he enjoyed his walks plus meeting other folks and pups in the dog park. We went to the ocean at Kitty Hawk, took the ferry to Knotts Island, & visited My Brother's Keeper, a lovely thrift store north on Rt. 158.

We were traveling from PA and planned to stay in Virginia Beach for Saturday night, weather changed our plans. We had reservations for this campground for Sunday We decided to call to see if we could arrive on Saturday instead, Angie went above and beyond to move us to accommodate us!! Lady at office check in was friendly and worker in camp store were also friendly. We will return! Thank you all!

We rented one of the cottages. So clean and equipped with all one would need to cook. Loved watching the sunrise and walking to the docks to see the sunsets. The staff were so friendly and welcomed us with a smile each time we saw them

We absolutely love staying at the Currituck KOA! They recently upgraded their cabins with nicer beds and pillows and even added more sharing outlets and shelves. It's our favorite place to stay!

This is our favorite KOA! We got engaged this trip by the pond - making this location even more special to us :) the campground is so beautiful and always a great time. The staff is so sweet and helpful. We can’t wait to come back and celebrate more!

Very cute place. Unfortunately the previous guest left an old coffee filter with used grounds in the coffeemaker and the entire place was covered in fruit flies. Otherwise we had a fantastic stay.

Comparable to other KOA, our cabin is so well spaced that privacy still exist. Very clean and well kept grounds. Quiet time was honored.

Cabin and other areas of the grounds exceptional clean. Beds were comfy, cable reception was very good, and the service was great! Relaxing time. We enjoyed ourselves.

Enjoyed fishing but more cleaning stations would be nice. All of the staff were helpful and friendly. Boats should not be able to anchor close to the seawall, some guy lost his anchor where someone could get hurt not knowing it's there.

We had a great time. Very quiet campground. They offer a lot of amenities. Would be excellent if there was also a pool or mini water park. Downsides - noticed that RV spaces are very close together. We stayed in a cabin, and it was very nice but a little overpriced IMO and comparing to other campgrounds we've been to. The discounted tickets to H2OBX water park is great.

By far this is my family’s favorite KOA we’ve tried. This was our 3rd time staying in a cabin and it’s always a great time. The water is beautiful! Secluded location but close enough to restaurants and shops if you wanted to venture out.

Stayed there last year great time and professional staff. This year ran into a few staff members who I did not see there last year. Not especially nice wish I knew there names for you. Wasn’t my favorite. Campground was very peaceful and staff were nice. However the Cabin we stayed in wasn’t the cleanest and the porch ceiling needed to be pressure washed bad. Bugs were terrible which I know is just apart of nature. The option to do kayaking was nice but water was choppy most of the time we were there so didnt get to utilize that. We probably will not rent cabins anymore. There became this excessive list of things to bring and things to do before you leave. When we got there, the cabin wasn’t that clean and we put prepared it in a cleaner ourselves. moving forward it’s too expensive to be renting the cabin & bringing all of your own linens doing all of your own cleaning before you leave. What an awesome group of owners/ workers!!! Especially Chris at the front desk. We had a very large group and everyone thought she was awesome. It is a smaller KOA but they offer so much. We went kayaking, played beer bingo, kids painted ducks and played golf car water wars, all for free!!! Only down side we had were the bugs at night but not the campgrounds fault. Definitely a great time!!!

Great location on the sound! The staff is great! The bugs are a pain, there were a lot splattered on the walls. But you’re camping so what do you expect? The frogs were super cute. The cabins are very spacious. I have a 4 star solely on the amenities. Being this far out - there should be a pool and maybe a bar a min. Otherwise great place!

This was an unplanned get away. Luckily there was availability for the same day and reserving the lodging was easy. Everyone was friendly upon our arrival. The lodging is in very good condition and very clean. The store is well stocked and the staff are very friendly. The entertainment (Saturday night live band) was good. Check out was easy. First time visit, will be back and bring friends! Thanks

This will be on our list to come back next year. The cabin was upgraded for us to a waterfront upon arrival. Our family loved the all inclusive activities for all our ages groups. The staff was super responsive to repair a bed frame for us our first morning up, however, we will bring a mattress pad next year to soothe our backs for better relaxation and sleep. The first night I couldn't sleep because of the severe noise of the air conditioner in the main bedroom. The next day we notified the office. Maintenance came to check and he said he couldn't fix it right now. We couldn't use the main bedroom we had to sleep in a bunk bedroom without air conditioning. We complained, only to be told we were sorry, we did not receive any compensation.

Well of course there's insects bugs that's you're used to cuz it's near the water but they now took out all the screens in the porch but online it's not there so I left early and I got a refund but I guess I won't go there again I'll go to the another location but the staff is very nice or if you don't care it's a beautiful place

We have stayed at multiple KOA'S and were very disappointed with our 3 night stay. There were large yellow stains on our matress covers. The floors of our cabin were very dirty (feet black after walking) tons of dead bugs in window seals, cobwebs on ceilings with dead gnats. We called the front upon day of arrival, noone would answer so we had to walk to office to ask questions, nothing resolved,

Awesome first time there. Every employee was very friendly and happy to help and answer any question that came up. Very well kept grounds and plenty for the kiddos. And had a good time fishing. We are already talking about coming back next year!!!!!

Great location, quiet and serene—just what we needed to sit back, relax, and enjoy the view. This KOA is tucked away behind Church's Island neighborhood, so you wouldn't even know it's there. The roads are very narrow when going through this area before you get to the KOA, so keep that in mind if you have a big rig. But don't let that scare you, because there are plenty of big rigs that go there. Yes, we're going to visit again. The staff was great, the location is great, and the bathrooms and laundry facilities were excellent and well-maintained. The convenience store was great, and the fun activities they have outside, like a jump house, putting green, and little mini go-karts that are powered by pedal power, are worth trying out if you want to work out. Oh, and make sure you visit the Morris Farmers Market in Currituck, which is about 26 minutes away. It's definitely a place you need to visit for the shopping, the food, the music, and the environment—it's totally worth it. And if you want to venture out a little further, like we did, we went to Kitty Hawk, which only took us barely an hour to get to. It was such an easy and scenic drive, and we got to see an awesome part of history when it comes to the first recorded flights and innovation.
