The campground and pool were clean and quite. The staff went above and beyond when we had some small issues with our equipment.

Friendly staff,nice shady spot,quiet.
Jun 09, 2015
Great place to stay close to all of the Memphis attractions however there was a lot of traffic noise even during the night

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you for filling out the survey. We are a KOA Journey and we are near the highway and byways. Campers want locations that they can get off when they are road weary. We provide easy access for them to do that.

Very nice and helpful staff, however, it is not set up for Big Rigs. We have a 45 ft Motor Home and pull a 16 ft trailers. It was very difficult to turn on the skinny roads and maneuver into the spot.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Memphis KOA has big rig sites and campers 40 ft and larger are here every night in these popular rows. We are a park that has alot of snowbirds going to their winter parks. The roads are full size and they are easy in easy out. We also have big pull thru sites that you drive thru.

Camp grounds were pretty nice, staff helpful and conveniently located. Had some issues with flooded sites, as sites are gravel.

A great place to stay for a night or a week!
Jun 07, 2015
Overpriced
Jun 05, 2015
Very nice, very clean but not really very "kid" or "pet" friendly. Actually the place didn't have a friendly feel at all.
Jun 04, 2015
We stayed one night as a travel stop. Since we did not use all the amenities, it is hard for me to rate it a 5. Staff was friendly. We called and said we would be arriving 30 minutes late and there was staff still there to greet us. Bathrooms and shower were clean. Spot we had was concrete and level. We have a 34ft MH with tow. Will stay there when visiting Memphis in the future

Would like to have known that there was more to the menu than pancakes which is all we were told. Menu on the exit said otherwise. Still would stay there again.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

The breakfast menu is posted at the cafe on big poster size menus. Also inside the cafe is a big poster. The bathrooms have breakfast menu posted as well.

This was our second time here. Made the return visit because we were pleased with our first stay
Jun 03, 2015
Very tight if you are 40 or over.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

This site number 41 is in a big pull thru 70 ft long. It is easy drive in drive out in the morning site. We have 40 ft units and longer every night in this park. Lots of return visits as we are right off of Interstate 55. It is near Route 40 a major corridor used cross country.

I was having difficulty with the electrical system in my RV during my stay. The General Manager Jerry Ingram, drove me to suppliers in the area until I found the items I needed to complete my repair. This Kampground is absolutely on our agenda for future travels. Everyone was courteous and extremely helpful and accommodating.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

This review is not for this campground. The General Manager is Robert McGinnis not the person listed in the review

Great staff. Very relaxing atmosphere. It was wonderful to recharge our batteries from a very stressful move. I would stay there again.

Too short of a stay. Got they late and had to leave early. Thanks

Terrific breakfast
May 30, 2015
Very friendly and helpful!

Outstanding staff
May 29, 2015
It was ok, nothing to write home about. I would probably opt for a pricier rv park the next trip to Memphis.
May 29, 2015
People were very friendly, place was clean, quite far from Memphis and oddly difficult to get to, having to drive 8 miles past the place to come back to access it. The grounds could have been laid out better so that access to amenities like bathrooms, showers, and laundry were closer. Also everything very expensive there. 2.00 to use a dryer for 45 min that could not dry your clothes. Too much!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

You do not have to drive 8 miles out of your way to get to us. There is an overpass that brings you right in. You can see the campground from the exit. The laundry bath house and store are all centrally located in the park. Site 24 is two rows from all these. We are 15 minutes from downtown Memphis.

Wish we could have stayed longer ! Very nice !
May 28, 2015
Grass should have been cut before we arrived.Cotton flying so bad from lawnmower we could not sit outside.Lawnmower was running everyday.Should be done before weekend.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

The lawns are mowed once a week not everyday. We do the best to mow early in this busy season. Our cottonwood trees this time of year are snowing cottonwood. Most people find it amusing that it "snows in May". We are a presidential award winning park and appearance is a big part of that.
May 27, 2015
Location was good for us. It is a little ways away from the city.
May 27, 2015
Great location for touring Memphis.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you for commenting on our park. Yes campers enjoy our close location to Memphis yet the park is in a nice country setting. You are near all the action but not in it. We also have the tour bus that campers love to use. Comeback again soon!
May 26, 2015
The staff was very helpful and friendly. It was very clean. The pancake breakfast was very good and reasonably priced.

Tight spaces but for what we needed it for it was good.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

I see you were in our regular 60 ft long sites. We do also have 70 ft long sites available and also our popular ends sites give you a little more room. We suggest early reservations for these sites as they go really fast. Next time give us a call and request a bigger site.

First, they refused to take our GoodSam discount card, which other KOAs did. Second, the train whistle drove me nuts. But everything was clean and neat. It was in a decent neighborhood. It was very crowded, I would say 85% capacity.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you for completing the survey. We do take the KOA value card and also have hot deal specials on our KOA website. We also give out a $10.00 coupon for return visits. We are busy this time of year as campers love our shady sites a plus in the Mid-South heat. Come back again soon!
May 25, 2015
Loved it.we will be staying there again

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you for your survey response! Remember to use your $ 10.00 coupon and visit our memphiskoa.com website for hot deals!

Although a small detour out of our way east, the Memphis KOA was a pleasant rest at a sorely needed time. I would gladly recommend and stay again.

May 23, 2015
Nice site. Ample room for coach and car. Friendly hosts.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

I see you had stayed in one of our end sites. These sites are very popular because of the roomy grassy area next to them. Thank you for the comment on our Memphis KOA staff they are all awesome!
May 21, 2015
This camp ground is very flat so it held water everywhere. Not fun

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

The site this camper was on is in the middle of the park it does not hold water. There was also a severe storm that evening. There has been alot of rain all though the MID-SOUTH area this Spring and early Summer.
May 20, 2015
My only concern was the difficulty of locating the facility due to poor signage on both sides of road and visability of a clear route.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

The Memphis KOA is visible from the highway as there are two lighted signs. Also there are big yellow billboards on the highway. The KOA directory has good directions. Our new KOA app has good directions as well.
May 19, 2015
Nice and quite during our stay in May. Only a one nighter, but a good one.
May 18, 2015
The campground was great, but the Blues Tout 3b was very uncoordinated. We were always waiting on lines or for the bus to arrive.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We are glad you had a great stay at our park. Your comment about the tour company has been addressed with them. They did have a bus driver call in sick leaving them short staffed.
May 17, 2015
Older camp just recently converted to KOA. Lots of potential here for a great KOA. We could see the improvements already completed. Friendly staff that wants to see the improvement also.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you for responding to the survey. We recently converted to a KOA Journey and yes there is lots of improvement projects in the plans. Some have already been completed. This has been a KOA for over seven years now. More good things are planned comeback and see us again!
May 16, 2015
When I checked in the woman wasn't very friendly. The park was clean, sites level, laundry was nice. The road noise was noticeable but not too bad. About average for a KOA.
May 15, 2015
Nice and clean and attractive grounds
May 14, 2015
Nice park tucked away from the Memphis traffic and road construction. Nice staff. Mostly treed sites. Bathrooms nice. Only complaint: morning pancake breakfast short-staffed with one person doing taking orders, cooking, etc. Many were waiting on food.

May 14, 2015
Had to move twice to finally get a 50 amp site that worked. Waited 15 min to get checked in. Plus is the Top's BBQ close by
May 14, 2015
Everybody was nice, and friendly, but the noise from the Interstate was bothersome.
