Where Strangers Become Friends

Lookout Mountain Chattanooga West KOA is nestled in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, with historic Lookout Mountain to the east and downtown Chattanooga only 15 minutes away. We offer 37 acres of native Appalachian forest with beautiful mountain views. Most of our sites are shaded under a wonderful canopy of beautiful native hardwoods and evergreens.

We also offer an exciting variety of activities and first class amenities with outstanding attractions only minutes away. We are the closest KOA to Rock City, Ruby Falls, Incline Railway, and downtown Chattanooga. Hike your way through 15 acres of forest and natural landscape. Cool down in our 56,000-gallon free form pool (depths ranging from 2.5 to 8.5 feet) and dry off under the southern sun on our large deck. Jump with your children on our Jumping Pad and feel like a kid again! Try your hand at gem stone panning (in season months only) or learn how to play Frisbee/Disc golf in our family practice activity field. Your pet will love our 1,200 square foot off-leash pet playground and obstacle course. Be the first one to score 1000 points on our Mini-Marshmallow Shooter "Shootin' Gallery". Stay in one of our heated/air conditioned rustic cabins or lodges, or camp under the canopy of the forest while enjoying a nice campfire.

Many guests stay at our campground when visiting the Southeast Linemans Training Center, Cloudland Canyon, Covenant College and Lookout Mountain Hang Gliding Center. These attractions are just minutes away from our location.

We take pride in offering our campers the best service we have to offer to make their camping experience #1. Lookout Mountain/Chattanooga West KOA would like to invite you to come relax and unwind with us.

Meet Your Hosts

The importance of family time was the deciding factor to enter into the campground business for Brian and Allison, owners of the Lookout Mountain/Chattanooga West KOA in Tennessee.

Brian, who had been an electrical/mechanical engineer, and his wife Allison, who was an MDS nurse, decided to purchase their campground because they felt they needed to spend more time with their family. "We had been avid campers in the past," says Brian, "and felt that running our own campground would be a good opportunity to work at something we like to do. We understand what campers like and enjoy while camping."

One thing campers can enjoy at the Chattanooga West KOA is the ability to go for a cooling dip in the swimming pool. "We treat our customers the way we would like to be treated," says Brian.

When they're not busy working on the campground, Brian can be found landscaping and Allison enjoys reading.
