1. Alder Island Nature Trail

Consider the Alder Island Nature Trail for an easy, short, family-friendly hiking trail near Lincoln City. It's about a 0.9-mile-long loop trail. Enjoy the view of the Siletz River as you walk along it.

2. Friends of Wildwood

Walk the easy 1-mile Friends of Wildwood Trail with your family when you want a simple hike to get outdoors. The in-and-out trail is one of Lincoln City's hiking trails through a gorgeous Sitka spruce and western hemlock forest.

3. Drift Creek Falls Trail #1378

Hike to a waterfall and cross a suspension bridge at Drift Creek Falls Trail #1378, a 3.2-mile out-and-back trail in the Siuslaw National Forest. The path is easy to hike, making it a perfect longer hike for families.

The Drift Creek Falls Trail is about 40 minutes from Lincoln City KOA Journey. The trail's address is BLM Rd 1770, Otis, OR 97368.

4. Lower Cascade Head Trail

Try the Lower Cascade Head Trail at the Cascade Head Preserve when you want a longer hike through a lush forest. The out-and-back trail is 4.2 miles long and moderately challenging. 

The Cascade Head Trail is about 11 minutes from the campground. The address for the start of the trail is Savage Rd, Otis, OR 97368.

5. God's Thumb via The Knoll

Go on a long hike when you hike the God's Thumb and The Knoll Loop trail. It's one of the most popular Lincoln City, Oregon, hiking trails because of the gorgeous ocean views via The Knoll and the unique basalt formation known as God's Thumb. The path is 4.7 miles long and considered moderately challenging due to its 1,100-foot elevation gain. If you would like a shorter hike, you can stop at The Knoll and head back down the way you came after you've taken in the epic views.
