Movies in the Park
Repeats every Friday during Spring.
Often described as a combination of state-of-the-art technology and the nostalgia of the 1950s drive-in, the Movies in the Park series provides families the opportunity to spend time together under the stars while enjoying first run movies...all for FREE!!Movies begin at dusk. We encourage you to bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and a picnic dinner. Concessions are also available. Glass containers are prohibited. Friendly pets are welcomed on a leash.All movies are rated "G" or "PG" by the Motion Picture Association of America unless otherwise indicated.

Fall FUN Festival
Come join Leander Fire Department at our Annual Fall Fun Festival. LFD has carnival style games, vendors, food, haunted house, silent auction and more at this family event. All proceeds go to our Health & Safety Fund and the Benevolent Fund. Tickets for games start at just $.50 and tickets to get wildly scared in "The Tower" are only $5!
This year the event is on Saturdays, October 17th and 24th from 5:30pm to 10:00pm.

Climb aboard this special Hill Country Flyer to celebrate Halloween! We journey through the Texas Hill Country, crossing the wooden trestle bridge over the South San Gabriel. During the two hour layover in Burnet you can enjoy lunch on your own, a leisurely stroll around the historic town square and the Wild West Gunfight (weather permitting). Special tricks and treats will be on board and costumes are encouraged! All cars are pulled by our 1960 Alco diesel locomotive. Parties of two may be seated at shared tables. This ride is 6 hours round trip with a 2 hour layover. SCHEDULE: Departs 10:00 AM, Returns 4:00 PM.

2016 ROT RALLY
The Republic of Texas Biker Rally (ROT Biker Rally) is the biggest motorcycle rally in Texas and one of largest motorcycle events in the U.S. It is always held the 2nd Thursday in June at the Travis County Exposition Center in Northeast Austin. The four day ROT Rally officially starts on June 9th and runs through June 12th, The attractions out at the Travis County Expo Center include a ride in bike show, custom bike builders, stunt shows, comedians, national named bands, The Paradise Bar, a tattoo expo, contests for the ladies, over 300 vendors and distributors, the ROT Rally Friday night parade and more. The Guinness Book of World Records certified the ROT Parade as the "Longest Parade of Motorcyles " It is an all weather event, and it will be held, rain or shine.
