Four miles from the south shore of beautiful Lake Tahoe, surrounded by tall pines with Echo Creek running through, this campground offers a relaxing stay with dozens of activities.
Four miles from the south shore of beautiful Lake Tahoe, surrounded by tall pines with Echo Creek running through, this campground offers a relaxing stay with dozens of activities. Swim, boat or cruise the lake on the M.S. Dixie II paddle wheeler or the Tahoe Queen. Visit the casinos, 9 miles to the Nevada side of the lake. Go hot-air ballooning, horseback riding, hiking, biking and golfing. You also can enjoy kayaking, Jet Skiing or parasailing, and fishing in the Truckee River or other nearby lakes. The Lake Tahoe KOA's sites are shaded by tall pine trees, and the Kamping Lodge features a full kitchen, private bathroom and shower. Paddle in the heated swimming pool from mid-May through mid-September. Bring your bicycle and ride on forest trails- or just relax at your campsite.

This is truly a "one-of-a-kind" adventure. Follow your guide as you power a 4-wheel drive All-Terrain-Vehicle over the world famous Rubicon Trail. Beautiful Setting
Enjoy camping under tall pines with Echo Creek rushing nearby and surrounded by the beautiful Sierra Mountains. Samuel Clements was traveling in 1861 when he first viewed Lake Tahoe. He later wrote as Mark Twain, "It must surely be the fairest picture the whole earth affords."

Virginia City
Travel to the most famous silver boomtown. This was once the second largest and most important city on the West Coast, and was made famous by TV show, "Bonanza." Known as "The World’s Liveliest Ghost Town", Virginia City is a historic mining camp on the great Comstock Lode. It is a National Historical Landmark.
Squaw Valley
Scene of the 1960 VII Winter Olympics, this is an interesting drive. Summer at Squaw Valley is crystal blue skies, wildflowers, clear warm days and cool evenings filled with fun activities for the whole family. Rising from the valley floor, the Cable Car ascends two thousand vertical feet to the mountaintop paradise, High Camp Bath and Tennis Club, elevation 8,200 feet, the Eighth wonder of the World. At this amazing facility, you can ice skate on an Olympic size outdoor rink, play tennis on one of six courts, ride horseback, mountain bike, spike a volleyball on one of six sand courts, bungee jump, walk through the Olympic Museum, relax poolside, meander through meadows filled with alpine wildflowers or just lounge in the sun and enjoy the view. There is a full schedule of summer special events, from arts and craft festivals to bicycle races, outdoor games, live music, picnics and more.
Wild Island Waterpark; Reno/ Sparks
Wild Island is a breathtaking world of full-tilt family fun. Do you crave summer fun that’s as cool as it is hot? Come splashdown with eight awesome aquatic adventures. Daredevil downhill rides, thrilling serpentine slides, a state-or-the-art wave pool, even a little lagoon for small fry. Golf on two 18-hole miniature courses that offer challenges that range from the magical to the mystical, from the spooky to the kooky. Or, let the raceway put you on the fast track with three thrill-a-minute courses. A mini track featuring novelty electric cars for tiny tots, a midsize track with small gas powered Formula K cars, and a big track featuring adult-sized gas powered Formula K cars.
Carson City - Capital of Nevada
The capital of Nevada features historical landmarks, a museum showing the history of Nevada and a full-scale replica of mine operations. There are numerous other museums and attractions to visit in Carson City.
