We had a great time staying at this KOA. The staff was helpful and friendly. The campground was well cared for. The bathrooms were very clean. Highly recommend this KOA!

We have camped there twice on our way to an event. The campground is well managed and the hosts are friendly and have a plethora of information about the wildlife, sightseeing, and shopping in the area. We were able to tour the unreserved train caboose that was recently added to the property. It has been fully renovated and is very cute. We may reserve it for an overnight visit next time.

the stay was fine Burt I have a 45 ft motorhome and the site I was in was tite and I scraped the side of my motor home when treeing to leave need to have more room on the ends . Ronald M Merkel

When you pay a deposit 7 months in advance you expect your site when you check in at 1pm. Not to be told the someone is in your site until 2pm because they asked and paid that extra for the time.

We were allowed to park in the closed site and use the open sites electrical. This allowed us to sure the common space with our family in the other site. Thank you for allowing this, it made our stay so much better.

It is a very nice place to stay. Every time we stay, the owner is working on something else to improve the place for his guests. This is an older koa, but he has done a great job redoing water, electric and sewer on the older sites. You won't be sorry chosing LA Junta KOA for your stay.

The words of wisdom in the bathroom were remarkable with their signs and posters. the flowers train cars and the the fountain give it a personal touch that makes you feel at home. One of the best koas I stayed at.

We spent 3 nights in the La Junta KOA. We enjoyed everything about our stay. The facilities were unique and very nice. Every staff member we encountered was very friendly and helpful. We look forward to staying here again.

I am up Set with My bill I call in for a campsite I was Quoted a price from Jim around $44.00 for the night. But then I got there He add $5.00 more because I was a Walking in. He a at least 9 campsites not use that night. HE should of been Happy I came and giving me a $500 discount. I am Expecting a refund of $500 from them or KOA Headquarters. Just passing through but the owner/manager was super friendly and helpful with my late night checkin. The park is clean and well taken care of and the Wi-Fi was superb

Place has great potential, looks as if has lots of in/out traffic but it’s the only place to stay. Needs more grass and fewer weeds that have burrs, the spaces are narrow and close together. Whoever thought it was a good idea to put big rocks and boulders around sites 40-42 needs to consider a new line of work. This was our first KOA introduction, and we’re sold! What a great experience. My kids loved the playground, putt putt, and pool! I completely lost count of the number of times my kiddo went down the water slide. The bathrooms were clean, water was hot for a good shower. The staff in the office/store were informative and super friendly. Our pup loved the KAMP K9 area as well. Thank you!

We stayed for 4nights all the staff was very friendly and helpful when we needed. The owner is a cool guy that has a passion for trains, the grounds are well kept. All and all would stay here again.

Brad made our stay! His energy and pride he showed on his KOA was outstanding! We absolutely loved the trains!!!!! It was so fascinating! The pool was excellent! We were greeted warmly! Definitely would recommend or stay here again! Can’t wait to see the train cars finished!

This KOA is very overpriced for the value. The entire campground and amenities have a worn or rundown appearance and the back portion of the campground looks like a dump.

The owner of this KOA takes pride in their property. The nicest Journey we've stayed at. It was so colorful with the flowers, decor, playground, etc. The gentleman who checked us in was so welcoming and friendly!! Wish more were like this one!!

It does seem that KOA camping has gotten quite expensive. Families struggle these days to have the extra funds for travel. Hope costs to camp don’t go any higher for awhile. Tough on pocket books.
