A solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between the Earth and the Sun, temporarily casting its shadow on our planet. The 2024 solar eclipse is poised to be a breathtaking event, with the moon completely covering the sun for a brief period.
On average, the world witnesses two to five solar eclipses each year. However, what makes each one special is its location and the degree of totality - the extent to which the sun is covered by the moon. The upcoming 2024 solar eclipse promises to be particularly captivating, with a path of totality cutting across the United States.
We offer some of the best spots to witness the solar eclipse. In addition, we will be having a weekend filled with live music, food, and fun. Then Monday will be the big day, come witness this spectacular event with us here at the Kerrville KOA Journey campground. There are booking requirements in place for this time period: a 4-night 5-day minimum from April 6th-10th.
