The stay was comfortable but the price was super expensive. Both men and women's restrooms need to be updated in order to flush the water with high pressure water (currently the water is running on low pressure and there is a sign on the inside toilet door stating to flush the toilet 3 times).

We stayed in site 66. It was a very large one with a fenced in private patio. Awesome way to spend our last night of a 6 week trip. The propane fireplace was a great addition. Staff was super friendly. Definitely will stay there again!

We Loved all the local arts and crafts available in the well stocked camp store. With no days in our agenda to stay in the area to browse local shops we were pleased to find such a charming assortment right at the KOA!

Nice campground close to Petrified Forest. Mexican Restaurant in brochure was excellent. Looked like they were working on improvements. Would be nice if there lighting in the dog park would be my suggestion.

Very friendly staff! They are also working to add more trees and greenery and just redid the pool. Great little store too, and they don't charge too much for laundry. Would have been 5 stars if all the new plants were in ;)

Staff is excellent and helpful. We only stayed overnight but I highly recommend. Grounds are well kept

Very plain and dusty....

One of the best KOAs we have stayed in. Level gravel spaces, shade trees, and plenty of room. Clean bathrooms with plenty of hot water. Plenty of options for staying - cabins, lodges, and spaces with patios and private dog runs. The only downside is the wi-fi is a little iffy and the shower/toilet stalls are a little cozy,

Cable was not working throughout park so we could not get major channels. Level gravel sites. Easy in and out. Big rig friendly. Good for a short stay. Park was maintained well, staff was nice, all in all, a decent experience, except for no TV.

Was a great park to stay on our trek home from Yuma, AZ to Canada. Park was quiet and well maintained and the store/gift shop was well stocked. Although you can see the interstate, where we were parked there was no road noise. We would definitely stay there again.

Most of the park had cable television and we didn’t. Must have missed that when I reserved?

Clean campground. Well-stocked store. Friendly staff who were very helpful and welcoming. We liked the touch of having chunks of petrified wood on display in the entry area.

Nice park with easy pull throughs.

Clean. Friendly, helpful staff. Need new picnic tables. Water dog park in evening. Need larger dog park and emphasis on cleaning up dog poop in the park. We cleaned up several piles of poop left by irresponsible campers

It is really and I mean really windy where the campground sits in Holbrook. Some wind breaks would improve it and your rates are WAY to HIGH. I’ve been at 5 star resort rv parks that aren’t that expensive. I won’t stay there again.

Great location to visit Painted Desert and Petrified Forest NP. Flat campground with level sites; mostly gravel.

Easy to make reservations via phone. Easy to get to from the interstate. Staff Friendly and sites easy to get to. Good place to stay to visit sites in the area.

Internet was horrible and the office staff was unable to assist. The maintenance guy they spoke to for resolution (by walkie talkie…so I heard every word of the conversation) was rude, belligerent and refused to come to our site to assist us. Not staying here again.

Have stayed here before due to location on our trip route. All gravel, lots of dust. Over priced compared to other KOA locations with better pads and amenities. Not a terrible spot, just nothing to offer.

Only for one night really nice place our spot was almost level. The could improve the Wi-Fi

Friendly staff. Campground is pretty basic with mainly gravel covering the majority of the property. It is perfectly serviceable and I had no issues.

Two night stay to visit Petrified Forest National Park, we enjoyed our stay here!

Nice people in the office. Got a spot even without a reservation. A little pricey but ok. Nice area and nice dog run. Would stay here again

Surprised, though located near I-40 a major east-west corridor through Northern Arizona, truck and passing traffic noise did not interrupt a decent night’s rest. More intrusive was the prevailing wind with gusts kicking up sand and dust; certainly not the fault of the facility, but rather the high desert terrain. Holbrook KOA is a stone’s throw from the Petrified National Forest.

On the app one price was stated but when I finished booking the price was $10 more. I was accepting if that because the only space available was “100 ft” and we had a tow vehicle but it barely fit - wasn’t 100 ft. I felt overpriced and not what I paid for. They said 1 left! The place was not filled!

The ladies that checked us in were very funny and sweet. The park is clean and nice. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again if in the area.

Frequently stop at this park. Amenities have improved over the years but still leaves room for improvement.

We stay here often on our way to/fro Phoenix and the park never disappoints!

Very close to the petrified forest, maybe 15-20 mins! Perfect after a long day of exploring. They have breakfast and dinner grill where you can buy select items off their menu which was really fun and made it easy after a long day of travel. They have some really nice spots with a patio, grill, chairs, and fire which is what we booked. Had a fire on for the rest of the night!

We rented a cabin and we're pleasantly surprised to find a beautifully appointed bathroom which is unusual for KOA cabins. The park itself was pretty and clean. The chuckwagon style meals served we're very good. We enjoyed our stay very much.

We stayed here for a week. The campground is on the northeast end of Holbrook. There are two parallel one-way entrances lanes to the campground: use the right lane to pull up next to the office and check in. Except for four back-in sites that seem to belong to longer-term residents, all of the RV sites are pull-throughs with gravel pads, gravel yards and picnic tables. Most sites have full-hookups as well as cable connections: a very few have just water and electric (and cable), while the sites marked on the map as being extra long might not have cable. Individual site amenities vary a great deal. Some sites have waist-high pine trees along the border, some have fences between sites, and some have adjacent tree (all sites are open to the sky, though) Some sites have patios that simply have chairs; others come with a gas-powered grill. A few patio and patio-free sites have a pergola, and some sites have small dog pens. Site 66 (likely because the campground is just off of old Route 66) is the ultimate site with a large patio area with a grill and pergola surrounded by a privacy fence. There are also a number of tent and cabin sites. We stayed in site 50, which was the last site on the east end of our row. All east end sites have a tall fence wall on the right side of the site, likely to block some of the light and sound from I-40 across the way. Our site wasn't long enough to fit our 21-foot truck and 37-foot fifth wheel front to back, but it was a designated wide site so we easily fit our truck between the camper and the fence. Our site was level, and the hookups were all near the back. The office building has a decent-sized souvenir and convenience store, with a laundry room located on the side of the building and bathrooms located in the back. There is a large playground on the west side of the office with a single basketball hoop and horseshoe pit, and beyond that is the swimming pool. Across from the office is the propane refill station, the dump station, and a communal area with a large petrified log and a small walk-up restaurant where they serve pancakes and host cowboy cookouts in season. There is also a second bathhouse at the back of the campground; all bathrooms are secured with keypad codes. The best places to walk dogs are either along the dirt pet walk area on the east side of the campground or in the fenced dog park on the west side. The dog park has a grass and dirt surface without any of the usual KOA agility equipment (which means a bit more open space), a single bench, and no dedicated lighting. In terms of cell service, the best bandwidth I saw on my Verizon Jetpack with MIMO antenna showed 16 Mbps down and 12 up, and other than very occasional buffering I had no problem working and streaming video. The best speed I saw on my AT&T smartphone with 5G was 86 down and 18 up. I tried out the campground WiFi the morning we left and got 3.5 down and just 1 up. If you're a light sleeper, you may struggle here: I-40 is visible from the east and south sides of the park, and you can faintly hear the semi-trucks as they pass by as well as the occasional train. We would stay here again if we were in the area.
