We had a great stay. W e were there for three nights and were able to visit many local attractions. The cabin was great with two rooms and a fridge for our food stuff. Our extended family stayed in a camper and the sites are large and easy to enter and exit. We were surprised at how full the camp was so book your stay early. The kids loved the movie, pool and floating in the creek.

We rented a cabin on the hill. My family camped with our dogs for the first time. The staff was very friendly and helpful, bath houses were clean. They deliver your firewood, ice and pizza right to your site! We will definitely be back!

We stayed in the covered wagon on our way home for a one night stay! It was magical! A very cool experience! Super clean and updated! Although there was no running water or bathroom in the covered wagon the public restroom and showers were exceptionally clean! We want to come back for sure! Staff was friendly and very helpful! Thank you for this unique experience!

Overall great visit! The campground is small and sites are close together as many have stated HOWEVER in my opinion it didn't take away from the trip/vibe. Everyone was kind and patient with exception of one. There's plenty to do. Swim, giant chess, gem mining, gaga ball, playground, craft room, train ride canoe, tube etc. We had a great time and would come back. Bathrooms and cabins were clean!

This KOA was very clean and the staff friendly. The bathrooms/showers were very clean, There are several activities for children but we especially enjoyed the gem panning activity. The canoeing was also a lot of fun and the price reasonable. We stayed in a covered wagon which is something not all KOAs offer so it was a very unique experience. The overall camping experience here was a fun one.

We stayed in the sweetheart cabin for two nights. Very clean, great quiet location, and close to very clean restrooms, pool, and general store. KOA recommendation of nearby Harper's Ferry tubing experience was fantastic, a quick 45 minutes drive away and hours of fun in the sun. Loved having a comfy, air conditioned cabin to come back to! Awesome chance to relax over a long weekend!

We've been coming to this KOA for about 30 yrs. Absolutely love it. Everyone is so friendly . My children loved it, my grandchildren and now my great grandchildren just had their first trip there. Hoping to continue making memories here.

Cabins very clean. Food at the diner was delicious! Staff very friendly. Campground is small and intimate. Our only issue was the smell of sulfur in the hot water. I know there is nothing that can be done about that, but it was very strong and off putting.

We had a great time. The pool was nice, clean and I saw it being maintained a few times. The store offered lots of goodies for the kids. The staff were friendly and worked hard. The restrooms were clean. The cabin beds were more comfortable than we expected. The fridge was larger than we expected.

We liked having a pet-friendly option so close to I-81. Our kids enjoyed the pool, but the area needed cleaning and there was no seating inside the fenced-in pool area. There were also a lot of stones on the jump pad when we went early in the morning before leaving. The bathrooms were nice and clean, the cabin was nice as well. The staff was friendly and helpful.

very cozy! the cabin was clean and provided the right amount of privacy and space for our family of 5 (plus 2 dogs). the kids loved the pool and the poolside games, and we loved the location.

Very clean restrooms and cabins. Good seal on door to prevent bugs from coming in. Really enjoyed the setup at our cabin site. Front desk people were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back.

Stayed in the Conestoga wagon with two GC. They loved it on top of pizza and wing delivery to our site. Pool was excellent.loved all the beautiful flowers. Well maintained and clean! And only 15 min from our house!

We love this cozy campground; we have stayed there 4 years now for the 4th of July. We plan on coming back, again and again.

I like to stay busy, when camping out....just two activities to pick from? The Friday night "magic show" ALWAYS a delight to watch!! Saturday--only two activities (ceramics and tie-dye). The movie "RV" not child oriented---there needs to be cartoons /fun movie for CHILDREN!. We have upcoming reservations---hope we have a better variety of things to do.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We are glad you enjoyed the magic show on Friday night. Saturday there were numerous activities, crafts, ceramics, tye dye, train ride and the movie RV. We switch up the movies for ALL ages.

Staff is very partial to the “regulars”. Not welcoming at all like Bowling Green, because of that I wouldn’t go back.

Hagerstown KOA was fantastic! The grounds are beautifully landscaped, it’s our new favorite camping place. Nona, Justin and the rest of the staff were great hosts! Thanks for taking such great care of us. Hope to see you soon.

The only downside that I would say, was that bathroom showers need updating (new bathroom/shower was fantastic) and that all campsites should have a grate for on top the fire circle for cooking. Staff was very friendly and very helpful.

We love going to this KOA. It's such a beautiful campground and there is so much to do for everyone in the family. The staff has always been so nice, friendly and welcoming. It is so nice and peaceful at this KOA and this is one of the reason we always come back. We are already looking forward to planning our next trip to this KOA for summer 2024. We highly recommend this campground. Thanks.

This is a terrific KOA! I only stayed one night so wasn't able to take advantage of all that was offered, but my cabin was very clean and the grounds lovely. Really nice staff. The pool looked fantastic and how great that they have a diner! I'll definitely come back to this one when I can stay a little longer.

Amazing stay and exactly what I needed! Cabin was beautiful and staff were super friendly and responsive. Loved all of the animals and amenities. The deluxe cabin was great.Really cute little store. My only small feedback is the sites were close together so we didn’t always have much privacy, but I’m not sure if that’s just standard for KOA so 5 stars overall. Would return and recommend to o

We had a good stay besides our neighbors being loud at night and walking through our camp ground. We did have some goggles stollen off our patio but knew we couldn’t prove who did it so we just bought another set.

Overall good stay. Cabins are very tight and in odd positions. Enjoyed the animals, cafe was good, staff was friendly and bathhouse was clean. Bathhouse was a decent walk from the cabins especially the ones in the back, very long walk. We would stay again but would be very careful on what cabin we chose.

We have been coming to this KOA for 14 years now for our family reunion.This year we had one misfortune where one of our group members had his car damaged by an employee backing into it. Situation was nicely handled. We all commented on how fast they drive through the area. Drive like you kids live here is what your sign says, They do for the weekend. Your employees should read the sign.

My Fiancé, our dog, and I had a great getaway in the Sweetheart cabin! We enjoyed going to the dog park, walking around the campground, and campfires on our private back porch. We can't wait to go again!

Tale of Two Cities- Thank you Hagerstown! I am a KOA Rewards member and I have over 110,000 lifetime points. I realize there are thousands of people that have more points than me and have been a member longer than 18 years, but I am certainly qualified to write this review!! Hagerstown and Harrisonburg My wife and I are campers, hikers, bikers, kayakers, and adventurers. Being part of that lifestyle, things happen. On the 20th, one of those “THINGS” did happen. On a hike in southern Virginia, my wife had a fall and broke her arm. Luckily, we were in cell phone range and the ambulance and medical personnel were able to reach us. After spending 8 hours in the hospital for emergency treatment to her arm, we returned to our RV in the middle of the night. Early the next morning, knowing it was impossible to continue camping, I started my drive home from southern Virginia. We were close to the end of our trip and we only had about three more nights to go. I had reservations at both Harrisonburg AND Hagerstown on my return trip. Harrisonburg: On the morning of the 21st, as we were heading home, I called the Harrisonburg KOA to see if I could get my deposit back. I even texted with Terry (one of the employees) about the situation. I was told what the policy was in regards to cancellations and I totally understand why those rules are in place. This, however, was an extenuating circumstance. I was reminded about the “policy” several times. I asked if he could check with the owner and see if there was an exception to this “Policy.” After an hour, I got a response which in essence was, since I was unable to spend the night at the KOA, there were no exceptions and I would lose my money. This is the policy. I even offered to produce my wife's xrays and medical receipts for verification. NOPE, not budging. This was NOT a win/win situation. When I called Hagerstown KOA to tell them of my situation, I was pleasantly surprised to be understood with a great deal of compassion. The employee told me what the “policy” was, but given my situation, she was going to talk with the owners. (I wish I got her name because she was very nice.) Within the hour, I received a call back and the employee told me that she got permission to refund my deposit, except for $10.00. This was a great solution! I gladly accepted the offer and I will certainly patronize this KOA in the future. Thanks to John and Judi for allowing some flexibility in this very difficult situation. Upon my return home, I wrote a letter to the Harrisonburg KOA making one more attempt to get some money back. I did not get any response through email, snail mail, or on my phone. Hagerstown made sure they took care of the customer and for that, they deserve top honors. THANK YOU, HAGERSTOWN. Harrisonburg repeatedly told me what the policy was and did not share any compassion for what was a terrible situation for my wife and for me. Shame on you, Harrisonburg.

We have a 36 foot travel trailer and the pull through site was big. Lots of trees no freeway noise. Nice staff and a well appointed store.

Beautiful campground, extremely clean sites, no bits of trash. Management and staff are extremely attentive with a goal that everyone has a wonderful time. The bathroom is very clean and shower was great, Super friendly atmosphere, staff is great, Cafe: we heard that the crab cakes and cafe are delicious. Beautiful river views Nice looking pool Nice K-9 club yard small but nice. Bouncing space for children, really a LOT of fun kid stuff, goats, ducks, chickens, playground, ... It looked like an excellent place for a family.
