We all love candy but just eating it wasn't exciting enough for us. Bring your children to our candy hunts held on holiday weekends so they can enjoy a social experience with other kids as they scoop up all the candy they can find! Available on select weekends during peak season.
As a child your imagination is unlimited and your creativity has no boundaries. To help your through the many amazing adventures you'll invent as a child, we present our playground. Hop across tires, find unique entrances, hang out on our spider web and well, just have fun!
There are certain truths we must all accept in our lives. One is that we will most likely never drive a golf ball as far as Tiger Woods or Phil Mickelson. For this reason and so many others, we have installed our very own miniature golf course. Stay out of the spotlight in our fun filled course and play with the entire family!
If you are using a GPS to find us, please DO NOT turn right on Michaywe Drive if indicated. Stay on Charles Brink road until you see our KOA sign at our driveway.
Meet Your Hosts
"Welcome to our big beautiful back yard!"Dave and Georganne Hornacek enjoyed the camping lifestyle so much they decided to make it their way of life. In 2005 they purchased their KOA campground and began making it their own. “We did a lot of camping with our children and have always felt that camping is a wonderful way to spend quality time together as a family. We want our guests to have the same experience,” said Georganne.
The family-oriented park welcomes campers from all over the world, and the Hornaceks love to visit with people and hear their stories. “It’s all about our camping guests and the memories they are making with their families and friends.” Cable, full hook ups and wireless internet are just a few of the amenities that have been added to the campground. They have also remodeled and resided the store/office, resurfaced the pool as well as made tremendous improvements to the grounds. There are always improvements and upgrades being made.
In their past lives, Georganne worked in the corporate world in customer service and Dave operated the dry cleaners that the couple owned. Their children Stacey & Dan, who was recently married to Kristin, also relocated to the Gaylord area.
In the off season, Georganne loves to cook and Dave does a lot of tinkering in his workshop and planning for the next set of projects. They also love to travel, in their camper of course!
