Make your reservation today at the Fancy Gap/Blue Ridge Mountains KOA Campground! Located on top of Fancy Gap Mountain in the cool mountain air of Virginia, lies the serene Fancy Gap KOA. We provide camping for travelers, hikers, and adventurers of the Blue Ridge Parkway , as well as those who come to enjoy the great outdoors.
Come and enjoy the sound of live music at the Blue Ridge Music Center and other locations. If antiquing is your thing, then you won't want to miss the many antique shops and Hillsville's annual Labor Day Flea Market and Gun Show just 8 miles away. The area also boasts wonderful farmers' markets with fresh fruit and vegetables. But, that isn't all. Nearby, you can explore trails and bike paths. The campground is just 14 miles from Mount Airy, N.C. (home of Andy Griffith) and its many festivals and concerts.
Stay with us at the campground and sit by the fire, fish in the pond, try the pedal boats, enjoy the many varieties of birds, come down to the clubhouse and watch the big-screen TV or just relax by the pool. We know the value that a family campground provides to vacation and leisure time. We are dedicated to our campers, and the quality of life in our campground is our priority.

Meet Your Hosts
For Mark and Cheryl Manning, owners of the Fancy Gap/Blue Ridge Parkway KOA in Virginia, the decision to get in the campground business was realized when the two decided they wanted a change of pace.
Cheryl, an administrative assistant with a home builder in Phoenix and Mark owner of his own painting and wall covering business knew that they wanted a change from their jobs. "For years we had dreamed about owning a campground but the timing wasn't right."
Finally in August of 2005, the timing worked out and these owners truly love what they are doing, and they are having a great time doing it. "Our philosophy is to try and make all our campers "happy kampers" says Cheryl.
Their passion for the campground and their campers can be seen by the new satellite bath house, the addition of new large full hook up back in sites and the one of a kind fenced back yard sites for their campers pets.
When they're not working at the campground, Mark and Cheryl can be found camping and traveling in the off season.

Come and kick off the camping season with us. We will have tye dye tshirts, horse shoe tournament, gem panning, the Marshall Bros will be singing. And o f course the pool will be open.
June 16th Fathers Day and our 5th Annual Chili Contest
Make your favorite chili recipe and let our judges decide who wins the Golden Laddle award. All kids 17 and younger stay free this weekend. Bring Dad or Grandpa camping and enter him in our father/child games. Lots of fun!!

North and South Bound Entrance to the Parkway is less then a 1/4 mile from the campground. This very handy for visitors and travelers of the Parkway.
Mount Airy, NC
Home of Andy Griffith is 14 miles from the campground. Stop by and see where the idea for the Andy Griffith show was taken.
Floyd's Country Store
A unique country store with music and dancing on Fridays and Saturdays
