We only stayed 2 nights, but we're so satisfied with it. Very affordable and comfortable. We spent more time away up the north shore, but I would have LOVED using the hottub. But we'd return at 8:30 & that wasn't enough time. The toilets and showers were perfect. (We stayed in a cabin). Nice and quiet and comfortable.

Second time staying at the Duluth, KOA Journey, the accommodations are awesome, clean, bathrooms, and hot showers! Will definitely stay again when in the area.

Quiet and tree lined park. Reception staff was friendly and had great suggestions of things to see!
Aug 15, 2023
Upon arrival I stood in the lobby and waited for at least 15-20 minutes while the receptionist talked on the phone, was not even acknowledged. Also, I had booked a back-in wooded camp site months in advance, did not receive a wooded back-in site. Instead I was given a pull through site jammed in between 2 other RV's with zero privacy.

Although it was rainy it was a nice stay. Quiet neighbors. Site was a little small. We just know to look at available sites more next time.

Great staff - helpful, pleasant. Near railroad but train does not seem to frequently come through at night. Close to Duluth and North Shore Drive.

I wasn’t expecting a train whistle every 2 hours at all times of the day. But the site was nice, and I wish my kids could have used the hot tub. I guess I understand why you don’t want kids in the hot tub, but for the price, I think I’ll just go somewhere I feel like children are welcomed. This is my first experience at a KOA and maybe my expectations were too high.

Thank you Robert for getting us in your KOA park. Loved the ground squirrels and the music festival in Carlton, but especially the friendly, accommodating team at Cloquest/Duluth!

Great place to stay! The showers and bathrooms were very clean- not easy to do when it was as busy as it was all week. I was very impressed by the kindness and helpfulness of the staff- I would absolutely stay again! It was also very fun seeing the trains go by! Our kids loved that! Thanks for making our stay so great!!!

The campground was clean and the staff was friendly.

Because I was 30amp you stuck me on a companion site, the first night other site empty, second night we were in Grand Portage, came back for the third night and was overrun by a large group on the other site. they took over the entire site including a tent, we could not sit around our campfire without having them walk through the little bit of site we had. You should have checked how they sit up.

Campground is nice, quiet and the grounds are well maintained. The showers and bathrooms are very clean and the staff are absolutely wonderful! Our tent site was on the edge of the woods between 2 campers, but it felt like we were in the woods with the layout. We really enjoyed the site. Definitely a KOA to visit again.

Very nice campground. Typical KOA!! We got stuck next to some semi-rude people but we were there for only one night so we didn't address it. Young gentleman showing people their campsites was very nice and had a great sense of humor!! Would recommend!!

Excellent staff that are friendly and work hard to keep the campgrounds nice for all us campers.

We had a 1-night stay in a nice wooded setting and would stay here again. They have a good variety of campsites and are working on upgrading this location.

Nice park and friendly, helpful staff. A small fence was put up for us to shade the sun in the late afternoon. Above and beyond. Loved the pool sand hot tub. Near to so many sights to see too.

The sites were tight. Couldn't put up a screened in tent. Bathrooms didn't have toilet paper over the weekend. Was told by one of the employees that we couldn't rinse/flush out our black water sewer tank. Said it was policy but said policy wasn't posted anyway. Management said it was too expensive for campers to flush out their black water tank. We will not be staying at KOA at Cloquet again.

Had a great stay in Cloquet! Kids jumped out of the truck right into your pool when we arrived. Nice hot tub for mom and I to relax and enjoy. Clean showers to rinse off in. Nice site for our 38 foot trailer. Power for both A/C units in the hot weather. Nice dog walk/off leash area. Convenient to Duluth and surrounding park areas.

Great place to stay! Everyone was very friendly and the facilities were clean. Loved that they offerd things for kids to be involved in and the offer to pick up your trash and bring your wood to the campsite! Also our site was perfect for our little group for space. Would definitely stay again and tell friends about. My kids also loved that they alow pets!

From the ease of checking in to the hard working staff it was a very enjoyable stay. Very well maintained, laundry area was very clean. We did not make it to the pool, but noticed the staff cleaned it every morning. We would definitely stay at this KOA again. Again staff does a fantastic job.

Campground is nice enough, but the staff was disappointing. Seemed constantly at odds with campers. Complained to me about other campers toilet paper use when I told them the bathrooms were completely out of TP. Were unpleasant on the phone. Became irate when I plugged my EV into my cabin outlet.

Nice, Clean.

This KOA is probably one of the best ones I have stayed at. The campground is very well kept, bathrooms clean, easy to get around, and the entire staff was wonderful. We did a 3 month stay at this campground (so we got to know people pretty well lol) and I would highly recommend it for anyone medically traveling (even for the duluth area) The owners were incredibly accommodating and very kind. I would definitely stay here again. Yes, there is a train but it really wasn't a problem, and I work overnight so I had to sleep during the day.

We had a great visit. Staff is great, location was alright, the train horn blasts via the nearby tracks through the nights weren't the best but we got used to them...lol. Location is convenient though to Jay Cook and Duluth so made it convenient.

The cabin was super cute. The mattress was ok to sleep on, thin. There are outlets for phones. Bring your own cookware. The fire pit was easy to cook over. The staff was super helpful and fun. People really get into the Halloween weekend. The modern facilities are clean.
