We had a very peaceful weekend! Sites are clean and spacious, with lots of needed shade on a hot weekend.

The best thing going for this campground is that it’s quiet. Well off the beaten path, and nestled into a heavily wooded area. Sites are close, but not too tight. Watch for where level is - in many sites it’s close to the road. The biggest complaint is the poor WiFi connection. Some additional repeaters are needed.

Every site was level- everyone was professional and pleasant . Did not want to leave. It was a great experience! And will be back soon!

Lovely wooded park. Nice and quite. Sites are arranged a little funky - with a lot of them parallel to the road, but that makes them feel further away from the neighbors. Staff was nice, laundry was clean.

It was a great first trailer trip! Our hostess was so friendly, accomodating, and helpful. We stayed in the best space for a new RVer, near the bath house. The bathrooms were exceptionally clean, and the fixtures and toilets were first quality. The campground noise was so low we felt like we were in the country, when we were only a few miles from Charlottesville.

Friendly staff, very clean restrooms, laundry room and game room. Small,quiet and off the beaten path. Could be the largest campsites with the most room between sites that you'll ever find in a KOA

It would be safer if there was a sign on the road before this KOA entrance to state that a blind driveway is ahead since those RV's pulling out of the KOA driveway are longer and due to curve in road it could be dangerous both for the RV and oncoming traffic.

Very nice campground. Quiet, secluded and well maintained. I would definitely stay there again if I was in the area.

Cleanest bathrooms ever! Sites were just “ok”. Seemed a bit pricey. Not much grass to walk dogs.

Nice campground with lots of trees and walking trail, The spaces are a little too close for our liking, but some people dont mind this. Overall , very nice.

Check in nice and courteous. Grounds well kept. Grass mowed. Shower House very well clean and maintained. Pool not yet opened so N/R

Nice facility very quiet. Sites are pretty close and the WiFi and cell service is dismal. Bath house was spotless, and the trailer sites were level. Would stay again.

Very nice stay at the Charlottesville KOA. Park was very pleasant, quite and tidy. Staff were friendly and helpful, small camp store was well stocked. Bathrooms were spotlessly clean.

Our campsite was everything we expected. Nice setting and quiet. Most of all I was impressed by the bathroom/showers. Extremely clean and very nice design. Better than any public, or for that matter, most private restrooms, I have ever been in.

The sites are nice, however I was disappointed that the individuals on staff did not address 3 barking dogs at 1 site. They admitted that they also heard the dogs barking when they traveled the park. I said something when I was leaving and the womens comment was I should have said something earlier! Sounds like they knew and did nothing. I could not walk outside without the barking.

In site 17, as with several others, we faced wooded rolling hills rather than other campers. The staff was very accommodating and pleasant and it took only 12 minutes to get into Charlottesville. We will happily use this KOA again.

As always the facilities are clean. We love this location because of the surrounding trees; it is so like a state park. It is in a good location for visiting wineries and breweries and other lovely sites.

Horrible entry and exit to the park. The road was scored multiple times from trailers dragging stabilizers on entering and visibility was extremely dangerous entering and exiting due to curves in the road. Grounds themselves were fine but very close sites. Laundry facilities were excellent and personnel very helpful. But due to the entrance won’t go again.

Very quiet and clean campground, and the sites were well kept and ample size. Lisa (at check-in), was a very nice host and pleasant to talk to.

Although we only stayed overnight , we were very impressed with Lisa. She went out of her way to be of help to us even tho we were very late in arriving at the campground. Lisa called us in advance to check on our arrival time. She then watched for our arrival and guided us to our site even tho it was after hours. Will certainly visit again

Office staff was extremely nice and friendly. Bathhouse is very clean and nice. The roads leading in were narrow but manageable. Groceries about 8 miles away I believe. I would not hesitate to recommend this KOA.

Charlottesville KOA has got to be the worst maintained KOA in the USA!!!! The only nice thing was the 1 bath house they have next to the check in office. The pool looks like it hasnt been opened in years, Black water, chain link fence and barbed wire around it completely. The Game room is a pool table and an old air hockey table. There is absolutely nothing to do at this KOA for Kids. The worst.

Very nice, clean, well maintained KOA. We stayed in a pull through where smaller trailers and cabs were, it was wooded with spectacular trees and quite private. There was an area that was very nice for bigger rigs. Dog yard was small but clean and nice. Bathrooms were very nice. Poison ivy all around so be careful.

This KOA is off the beaten path which was nice as it was quiet and remote. The folks that run it are a nice family. They are putting a lot of work into it with the addition of several new sites. Nothing fancy to speak of here, but was a great stay for seeing the Charlottesville area. The road in is two lane and a bit winding but our duelly and 39' fifth wheel made it just fine. Be advised there is bridge construction on a google route that is narrow and tight turn. The office advised us of how to avoid it. Happy trails.

We had a two day stay here in early April. The bathroom facilities were immaculately, clean, and private. My kids state that this was the best campground they've ever stayed at. The staff was extremely thorough and friendly. Prices at the general store were excellent. They also have a propane filling station, which is a nice plus. Would definitely recommend and give five stars. PS. There is an awesome nature, hike and pet trail.
