Meet Your Hosts
"We're excited to be managing the NEW Tucson/Lazydays KOA. Come by and say hello!"Jeff and Judy Gooch have spent their anniversary for the past several years at a cozy cabin overlooking a lake and the snowcapped mountains in beautiful southern Oregon. The full-service campground has RV sites, cabins, tent sites, a restaurant, general store, docks with boat rentals and more! After visiting with the general manager, they learned that he lived there year round with his wife and children.
He walked us around the grounds as he enthusiastically chatted about the changes he made and the dreams still in the process of becoming reality, said Judy. We couldnt help but feel that he had the greatest job ever!
So when the Goochs were presented the opportunity to manage a KOA campground, We couldnt wait to join them, said Jeff.
Jeffs background in accommodations started in the vacation club industry in California, the Pacific Northwest, and Maui, where he managed resorts. He was also a regional director of resort operations, overseeing 11 resorts scattered from Monterey, California to McCall, Idaho, and east to Branson, Missouri. When not working alongside Jeff on the resorts, Judy was a caregiver for the elderly and also spent many years in wildlife rehabilitation caring for injured animals and doing educational school programs.
We have always had a lot of pride in exceeding customers expectations of service, going above and beyond, said Jeff. We both want every camper to leave our campground with the knowledge that they were important.
When not on the campground, Jeff enjoys hunting, fishing, hiking and exploring the great outdoors. Judy has a great passion for life, enjoys meeting new people, gardening, writing, hiking, cooking and chocolate.
