No pool both stays. Pricey for what you receive

Unfortunately, we have ran into issues with the pool and can't get anyone here to do the work that needs done. Our website states the pool is not open, sorry you didn't see that. There are tons of other amenities throughout the park.

The staff was awesome! Friendly, professional, and made us feel very welcomed. Grounds, camp sites, restrooms clean, and everything was perfect. Will definitely stay again!

Very clean, pet friendly, family-oriented atmosphere - the staff were amazing and beyond helpful. We had a pull through spot and the lot was spacious. Pool was down for repair but even without it our kids had a blast on the playground/minigolf.

Last year when we called ahead on day of arrival just before closing time, they were completely full, but they parked us for overnight in a no amenities location which allowed us to get off the road for some much needed rest. This year we called ahead earlier in the day and got a site where we were last year, but it now has been upgraded to actual campsites. Pleased to see they’re doing well.

This places would be perfect but the pool was closed and it didn’t seem like they were in any hurry to get it fixed. It was one of the reasons I picked the place. It is hot outside. They didn’t even put that fact of closure on their website.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Our website has a emergency alert pop up that tells you the pool is closed for repairs. We are working on trying to find where the leak is and have pool people scheduled to come out.

The pool was empty due to a leak. The green on the golf course was damaged on many holes. The bathrooms and area was clean. And staff friendly.

Terry and Tina were great so this is no reflection on them but we had a patio site in E14. This site had deep ditches on both sides. There was a bad washout going into E14 and very bad washout on E section exit. As I exited with my 37 ft class A towing my car the washout and boulders scraped my MotorHome underside. Now I have to make an insurance claim. Maybe KOA can help? But I will never be back

The boulders aren't in the roadway so not sure how exactly you hit them!

As close to the freeway as the park is, you really don't hear the traffic much. However, when booking or signing in, no-one lets you know that there is no pool or hot tub open. We walked over to the pool and found it 1/2 full of stagnant water. OK, what the heck, let's use the hot tub. The hot tub is an above ground tub big enough for 6 maybe and it was chained close. Covid maybe? Won't be back.

The hot tub just has to be unlocked as you want to use it. The website tells you our pool is closed for repairs. Sorry you didn't read correctly.

Our first trip in our new Rig. Had some hiccups after not traveling for several years following a major illness. VERY helpful staff. The Pet Park had a bent fence post (someone hit it). I wondered how long it had been there... (Apparently not long) It was fixed the next day. (They keep up with maintenance issues. An excellent sign of professional Management Values. STAY HERE!

Pool was empty on June 5th, gym was disgustingly dirty, weeds around ladderball and horse shoes overgrown, tetherball was deflated and cracked, not able to play with. Was a huge disappointment that the pool wasn’t open when it is advertised in the welcome email that it opens May 1st. Dog park was overgrown with weeds. The gym hadn’t been cleaned in years. Dirt, dead bugs, and a layer of dust.

The gym is cleaned all the time. The pool is normally open however we have a leak we are trying to find and repair so it's not open yet. The website says pool is closed for repairs. We are doing the best we can after the weather we had to get everything done in a timely manner.

Very courteous and pleasant staff. The park is fairly well-maintained. Kamp K9 needs a little bit of attention. Grass was too tall. Our site was not particularly level and took quite a bit of effort to get our rig situated. Campsites are fairly close together. If you can go through the premium sites as they have a spectacular view of the nearby mountains. We will be back.

We stayed for 1 night. Very friendly staff. Facilities were clean and the park was very quiet. The parking pads were gravel and level, but a little tight, but expected at a KOA I would definitely stay here again.

This campground is easy access off I 25 at the Colorado City exit #74. The staff is very friendly and they escort you to your site. We paid a little more for a pull through with a patio, grill and fire pit. We were in E 14. The site is level and the views of the mountains are fantastic. You do not hear interstate from the campground. There is a restaurant just across interstate called Three Sisters. The food is absolutely incredible. If we pass back through this area we will stay here again.

We stayed here for 3 weeks in an RV and had a great experience. Everyone was so friendly and wonderful, plus it was the perfect distance from Colorado Springs, great sand dunes national park and several other stops. Highly recommend!
