We really enjoyed the isolated location. It was perfect for us while we were traveling across country. Thank you!

Great fast wifi! 50Mbps up and down. Site area was a bit muddy and not super level.

Very quiet! I didn't need my earplugs! Note that the office closes at 5, though website says they close at 6 on Friday and Saturday.

The facility’s restrooms were extremely dirty, and not up to par with other KOAs we’ve stayed at. Other campers were extremely loud, and shined their vehicle lights straight into our site for hours in the middle of the night. There’s a recycling center that’s God awfully loud directly next to the KOA, so if a peaceful camp is what you want, you won’t get it here. Area is very rough.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

You must have our restrooms confused with another KOA. Ours are daily cleaned and sanitized. You did mention to me the next morning that you got in very late and that one camper turned his headlights on and slammed his door a few times. I know it is hard to drown out all noise while tent camping.

The Manager was very nice and helpful. Check in was easy and everything was ready when we arrived. The restroom and property were clean and neat. it sits a couple of miles off of the interstate, we had a pull through site that was fairly level and easy in and out with our 33 foot fifth wheel.

The gentleman who greeted us was friendly and helpful. The General Store had great gifts, and the campgrounds were perfectly clean and pretty. The bathrooms were also immaculate. We enjoyed the camping cabin and the fire pit so much. I hope to return one day.

Well off the freeway so it was quiet with lots of mature pine and hardwood trees providing shade. Our large pups enjoyed the smallish but adequate and clean Kamp-9. Our pull thru site (#3) pad needs replacing as it was pretty well broken up. Nice campground to walk thru with our dogs. The road to the site was narrow with no shoulders in places, just don't be in a hurry and you can navigate it OK

Nice camp, wooded & quiet. Our stay was in Winter when temps dipped low. It was nice to have hook ups. They had propane refilling, it was nice to have it,. Staff was friendly & helpful . Clean, nice pool & play area. Definitely a great KOA

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

So lovely to have you guys! We try to be as accommodating as we can to make your camping experience the best.

Narrow road leading to camp with large trucks speeding the opposite direction. Put in a shortest and muddy site at the bottom of a hill (that one site most parks have that should only be used in prime conditions or last option). The $17 city park in Wichita Falls the prior night was much more pleasant…

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We regret that your 56 foot site was not adequate for your 28 foot travel trailer. We are glad we could accommodate you with a same day reservation. If you are ever with us again we will make sure that your site suits you to the best of our ability.

This KOA Journey in Toomsuba is an absolute gem! Perfect if you are heading through I-20, absolutely beautiful sites, layout, and amazing pool!!! Very clean pool. In summer they have a sweet waterslide, with a classic snack shack poolside pavilion. The staff was top notch and just really made us feel at home and accommodated an extra spot for us with our additional moving truck and tow behind on our move across country. I could have stayed there for weeks! Gorgeous Mississippi forest tree canopy, level sites, and just a mile or so off the exit on 20 where there is a Loves right there to fill up back on your way to the road. Great beer selection too! Just all around one of the best KOAs out there. Thanks yall!

It is very easy to drive your rig in this park. I have read some reviews where people talk about the drive into the part as being horrible. When you leave I 20, you drive down a county road. It is the typical width of a county road. So just slow down and it is no problem. We drive a 44' fifth wheel with a dually truck. Some sites have concrete (not in the best shape) and some have gravel pads. There are many trees but the park keeps them trim away from the roads. It was great to have shade. There is full hookup pull thru sites along with some back in sites. There are plenty of areas to walk your dogs along with a nice enclosed dog park. There are many activities for children – a large sandbox, pool, a water slide, playground, tether ball and a game room. This park is about 2 miles off I 20. It is very quiet. There are a few long timers but primary people stopping for one night Each night it is full and then empty by noon the next day. We were there for several months and paid $525 for the month. This included electricity. When we originally arrived, our plan was to stay one month to visit family. But due to some health issues with ourselves and our family, we ended up staying for over 6 months. The best part of this park is the staff. Each staff is friendly, welcoming and will do anything possible to make our staff so wonderful. The staff take meticulous care of the park including picking up daily all the cigarette butts that people think they can just leave on the ground. Due to their service, they get a lot of repeat customer visits.
