Go Back in Time Exploring Dino Tracks! Photo

Go Back in Time Exploring Dino Tracks!

Best during the summer drought when the river is down.

Explore the San Gabriel River bottom for rocks, fossils, and dinosaur tracks!
Head North on US HWY 183 toward turn left on Signal Hill Drive. (If you pass over San Gabriel River you've gone too far.) Drive Straight until it dead ends into Skyview Terrace. Turn right and park in the empty, undeveloped cul-de-sac. The "NO TRESPASSING" signs refer to the area behind the fence...don't go there...walk along the fence to the left until you see a path....take it until you see a steep path down to the river (it will be on your left). It has big railroad ties boarding the path all the way down. Once you get to the bottom, you should be able to see the tracks on the river's edge to the right a little--about 10-20 yards.
