Dog gone it, were gonna have some fun. There will be lots of fun for both dogs & humans this weekend. For humans there will be hot dogs, of course, cupcakes, tattoos and yummy pancakes. For dogs there will be doggy olympics, prizes and treats. Humans can accompany their dogs to bingo, movies under the stars, pet portraits, scavenger hunt walkies and a wagon ride. It is all good fun and you definitely do not need a dog to join in and have fun. $10 of your registration fees will be donated to several animal charities including, a profit free facility that cares for terminally ill elderly dogs so that they enjoy their last days. VKR Appreciation Weekend
With a KOA Value Card, pay for Friday night and with your $10 donation to KOA Care Camps get the whole weekend of fabulous activities and Saturday night for free, WOWEE! There will be a dreamy bubble wagon ride, in the crisp fall air. Sit out under the beautiful starry skies, watching a movie while munching on yummy caramel corn and slurping hot chocolate with whipped cream & marshmallows. Run through the fall leaves gathering pics for a digital treasure hunt. Sunday morning come in your jammies for a yummy pancake breakfast.
Quest, a Knights Tale
Become a seeker of fun and enter the realm of the knights. Grab a trusty steed and join in the jousting competition. Gather your team of knights for a scavenger crusade. Create a dragons eye tie dye or make wizard sticks to fend off highwaymen. Be captivated on a magical bubble ride, fit for a king. Fill up with tasty grog and bbqd beast on a stick. Sit out under the stars with your fellow knights and be entertained with movies of knightly tales and other entertainment fit for a king and his subjects.
It is like Oktoberfest, but way better. Fall is such a lovely time of year, maple and oak trees throughout the park begin to change colour. Deer, turkeys and other magnificent wildlife start to wander throughout the park at dawn and dusk. Come and celebrate fall with a bratwurst bbq and apple pie with ice cream. Sit under a magnificent starry sky and enjoy an outdoor movie, while slurping hot chocolate and munching on delicious warm caramel corn. Get back to nature tromping through the woods in a scavenger hunt or go wild and get a tattoo. Let the surrounding beauty inspire you to create a lovely fall wall hanging in the craft workshop. Sunday you can sleep in, listen to the birds sing and then enjoy a yummy pancake breakfast. Make time and take this weekend to stop and enjoy all the important things in life and the beauty of nature.

Dig into a glorious 30 buffet of chocolate confections, from chocolate enrobed cherries, cream puffs & almonds to heavenly chocolate fountains, cakes and other delights. Enjoy smore popcorn and creamy hot chocolate at the outdoor movie. Play chocolate bar bingo or head out for the great chocoholic scavenger hunt. It was a love of camping that brought Susan and David Barton to own their own KOA Kampground.
"We love camping, especially KOAs," said Susan. "We know that our customers are on vacation, and our goal is to make it the best and happiest vacation that they have ever had."
Before owning their own KOA, Davie was a real estate agent, and Sue a graphic designer. On this campground, it's not just campers that are made welcome, but also their pets.
"Our pets (dogs Sam and Cooper) have traveled all over North America, so we really understand the need for pet-friendly camping," said Susan. "Our dogs travel each year with us."
