Jurassic Hunt Week
The most popular creature in the 1000 Islands, besides Stewie, is the elusive dinosaur . Begin your adventure searching for the coolest creature ever, the KOA dinosaurus. Feel like an archeologist and unearth cool stuff during The Dig. Follow clues in a prehistoric scavenger hunt. Enjoy yummy jurassic treats, such as volcano ice cream floats and dino dogs. Watch a super cool dino flick while sitting out under the starry skies, with a big bag of yummy caveman popcorn. Show your love for the scaly beasts and get an awesome dino tattoo. Make a super cool prehistoric craft and join in some mad science seminars. Youll have so much fun, youll want to stay in the dark ages forever!
Let the good times roll with mardis gras, island style. Your only opportunity this year to get an awesome voodoo tattoo and race a gator. Show what you can do for beads at the anything goes in pool, big splash competition. Tastee chili po boys and swamp water floats are on da menu. You gotta try and ride the ponies cajun style. Big Easy bingo, cajun craft seminars, nawlins scavenger hunts and huricane wet n wild wagon rides will help pass the hot summer days. Enjoy starry nights during the mardis gras glow stick wagon rides and bask in sultry summer evenings watching feature films with oh so sweet caramel corn to snack on. Dat gotta be fun!
It is that time of year to celebrate all your favorite holidays in one week, yippee! It is time to hunt down where that wily bunny keeps his summer stash of eggs. Get a second chance to ring in 2014 again at the New Years at Noon, great big piñata whack. Halloween is way to fun to only come once a year, so make a mask and get ready for the trick or treat treasure hunt, beware you may need a trick up your sleeve! Ho Ho there is going to be bingo, Santas elves need a little mid summer practice. It is not green beer but it is the next best thing, a delicious St. Patricks Day green ice cream float will help you go Irish. It is way to cold in October to have a Thanksgiving wet n wild wagon ride, so this is the week to take part in the turkeys revenge water wars. It is fun, fun, fun for everyone.

Unearth pieces of the puzzle in the archeological dig that will help you to unlock the mysteries of the 1000 Islands. Share your findings in the adventurers club, over an exotic ice cream float. Wild West Hoopla Week
Its livin in the wild, wild, west all week. Saddle up and roundem up for the hop along pony rodeo, yee ha. Fill yer bellies with baked beans, corn on the cob, sweet tea, lemonade, good ole fashion soda floats, cookies and milk, yummee. Test yer skills with hilly billy horse shoes (ya use a toilet seat), seed spitn, divein for gold nuggets and a hay stack treasure hunt. Nothin brings back the wild west like a good old fashioned wet n wild russlin wagon ride, its every man, woman and child for himself. Spend yer evenns under the stars enjoyin a good ole fashion cowboy flick with some delicious vittles like freshly popped corn. mmm mmmm

It was a love of camping that brought Susan and David Barton to own their own KOA Kampground.
"We love camping, especially KOAs," said Susan. "We know that our customers are on vacation, and our goal is to make it the best and happiest vacation that they have ever had."
Before owning their own KOA, Davie was a real estate agent, and Sue a graphic designer. On this campground, it's not just campers that are made welcome, but also their pets.
"Our pets (dogs Sam and Cooper) have traveled all over North America, so we really understand the need for pet-friendly camping," said Susan. "Our dogs travel each year with us."
